Jesus is not almost God. Not mostly God. Not a lesser divine being.
"For in Him all the fullness of God dwells in bodily form." — Colossians 2:9
All. The. Fullness.
And then Paul goes further in Colossians 1:15–17:
"By Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible... He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together."
This is not opinion. This is not theology for academics. This is what the Bible says about Jesus.
He created everything. He is before everything. He holds everything together.
And here is why it matters for your salvation: mankind cannot save itself. Every religion in human history is the record of that failed attempt. Only God can save us. And in Jesus — fully man, fully God — God did exactly that.
A cosmic Christ is a sufficient Savior.

100%. That's the number. Not 99. Not 99.9. The moment you add anything to grace — you haven't helped the gospel. You replaced it.
A refugee was once seen carrying his household idol while fleeing for his life. Someone asked him why. He said: "This is my god. I'm saving it."
That's every false savior. Every shrunken Jesus. Every works-righteous system ever built. But your God doesn't need you to carry Him.
Truly man. Truly God. Therefore truly sufficient. He saves to the uttermost — completely, perfectly, for all time, nothing lacking.
He carries you.
