Happy Monday, Family!

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath beforehand ordained, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

Today we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. A man who used his gifts, talents, and passions to advocate for the equal rights of African Americans. He boldly stood against injustices and used nonviolence as his means. Dr. King knew his purpose and pursued it with unrelenting bravery. As a result, he is known as the famed Civil Rights leader who changed the course of U.S. history. While today we honor his work and contributions, let us ask ourselves–How are we impacting the world around us? What contributions are we making on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly basis that positively impact the life of those around us and the world at large?

Ephesians 2:10 says we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works which He has created for us to walk in beforehand. That means we were placed on this earth to leave an indelible mark on the world and how we do that has already been predetermined, but we must be intentional about walking in our good works. Sometimes that means we must get outside of ourselves. Our preconceived notions of what our lives should be, what we think we should be doing.

Dr. King was, in many respects, the answer to many prayers. And just as God used him to accomplish His will for His people, He wants to use us as the answer to someone’s prayer as well. Are we cooperating? Are we releasing what God has placed inside of us? Are we saying yes to His will for our lives? Have we taken on that assignment? Are we mentoring that individual, writing that book, starting that ministry, or released that blessing? Are we getting outside of our wants, our desires, what bothers us, and are we pouring ourselves out upon the lives of those in our spheres of influence who need what God has placed in us?

Our good works may never be recognized on the world stage, but trust and believe that our Heavenly Father sees what we do, even when no one else does, and He will reward us.

Today may we be moved to walk in the good works that God has pre-arranged for us to walk in. May we be His hands, feet, legs, arms, eyes, ears, and mouth in the earth, and may we be the answer to someone’s prayer.

Happy Friday Family! Have a safe and blessed weekend!

You have been given power and authority to rule and have dominion in the earth as a child of the Most High God. One of the many ways you can do this is by confidently releasing the powerful, infallible word of God through your verbal Decrees. It has the power to change your life, the life of your loved ones, your sphere of influence, and the world at large.

I’ve listed just a few Decrees below. Release them in confidence knowing you are a child of God. Release them in authority knowing you have been given power and authority to decree a thing and it will be established for you. Lastly, release them with the expectation that you will see the manifestation of the very words you release in the earth, because God’s word never returns to Him void.

The Power of Our Decree

“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28

We have been endowed with a level of power and authority that can effect major change. This authority comes from our all-powerful God who has adopted us into His beloved family through His Son, Jesus Christ. Because of our relationship with Him, we can do what He did and more (John 14:12). One facet of this authority is our right to decree God’s truth in our lives and our spheres of influence and experience its impact. This is exciting news, but before we get too deep there are some things that must be in place.

We Must Know:

Who We Are
We are children of God. He is our Father, and He loves us dearly. In addition to that, we are also His representatives on the earth. That means we live our lives in humble regard to Him as Lord and to His word as the authority in our lives. We bring His love, His hope, and His ways to the earth. We are influenced by His Spirit. His desires become our desires and we are moved to action by His heartbeat within us. We have a relationship with Him, and we know He hears us when we pray.

Our Authoritative Power
We aren’t just children and representatives; we are children and representatives with power and authority. We understand that we are made in the image and likeness of God and have been assured that we have victory over all things through Jesus Christ. We believe the word that says we have been given the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. That whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven. We are convinced that, just like our Heavenly Father, our words are dripping with creative power because we believe our words go before us and create our reality.

Now we Decree
Knowing who we are, and our authoritative power gives us the confidence to boldly release decrees, based upon God’s word, in the earth. Our decrees become our verbal agreement with the word of God, and they become invisible change agents that have the power to effect positive change in our lives, the lives of our loved ones, our neighbors, society, and the world at large.

What’s going on in your life and sphere of influence? Are you feeling exhausted because you’ve been circling the same issue for far longer than you’d like to admit? Have you boldly decreed God’s word concerning the situation? You may find that after you’ve done all you can do, the best answer is to get into your quiet place and decree God’s word concerning that issue and expect to see change. The word of God always produces. It never returns void. Know who you are. Know your authoritative power. Release the decree.
