Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5
A Clarion Call of Alignment and Understanding
The African American Non-Denominational Christian Church stands in sober solidarity with the witness of the historic Church where it aligns with the scriptural teachings of Jesus Christ.
We recognize the voice of the Holy Father not as infallible in personality, but as one shaped by a long lineage of theological rigor, pastoral formation, and ecclesial tradition.
Let it be clear that this is not blind allegiance, but informed alignment.
For those who may have missed the depth of formation within our Roman Catholic family, let us remind you:
The Holy Father stands in a stream shaped by Augustine of Hippo, who wrestled with grace, sin, and the sovereignty of God, and further refined through the moral reasoning of Thomas Aquinas, whose articulation of Just War Theory sought to reconcile justice, restraint, and moral responsibility in a fallen world.
This is not shallow theology. This is not reactionary faith.
This is centuries of wrestling with Scripture, reason, and human brokenness.
And so we say with prophetic edge:
The Holy Father does not require commentary from those newly acquainted with the faith but unfamiliar with its weight.
Conversion is sacred, but formation is essential.
Before correction, there must be comprehension.
Before critique, there must be context.
So to denominations, fellowships, local churches, mosques, synagogues, and even those who stand outside belief:
Understand this, The Church, in its many expressions, carries both history and responsibility.
And when we speak, we must speak not only with passion;but with depth.
Not only with conviction; but with credibility.
This is a call to intellectual honesty.
This is a call to theological maturity.
This is a call to spiritual integrity.
Because in this hour, noise is loud; but truth is weighty.
And those who carry truth must do so with both fire and formation.
