Temple Kol Emeth is pleased to welcome the community to our Second Day Rosh HaShanah morning service on Sunday, September 13 at 10:00am. This service will include the traditional music, prayers, and Torah reading for the Holy Days. The sermon will be delivered by Rabbi Steve Lebow, Rabbi Emeritus. Please join us this Saturday, September 5 at 7:00pm for Selichot, the opening service of the High Holy Days. The evening will include study, song, and prayer and feature our Mishkan HaLev prayer books. Participants will also assist in changing our Torah covers to their white mantles - a visual symbol marking the season.

Rosh HaShanah begins next Friday night! As a reminder, young adults (19 - 25) get complementary High Holy Day tickets, but they must register online to receive them.

Also for young adults in our community, join us for Sip, Celebrate and Shanah Tovah! We will be gathering at Atlanta Hard C***r Co. & Atlanta Distillery to enjoy c***r and fun conversation, as a festive way to welcome the new year. Your first drink is on us, so come toast to new beginnings with friends old and new!

Thank you to everyone who donated their sporting equipment for Leveling the Playing Field, Inc. This morning, they collected the equipment, where it will now be redistributed to underserved communities throughout Atlanta.

This past Sunday, families and members kicked off the start of a new religious school year and spent the afternoon having fun at the Congregational Cookout and Festival! After an assembly with the rabbis, kids got to their first day of class, while parents got to meet each other with a variety of mixers before joining their kids with their teacher. Once school finished, families and congregants met up for hot dogs and hamburgers, before an afternoon of fun activities commenced, including a petting zoo, water games at the DLC, trivia, bingo, and much more. Finally, to beat the summer heat, the Kona Ice truck stopped by to help everyone cool off. Thank you to our volunteers who made it happen and to everyone who attended. We hope you had an amazing afternoon!
