Let's talk about underwear. It is a basic human need and a matter of fundamental dignity, yet it is one of the most requested and least donated items at local shelters.

Our neighbors at MUST Ministries go through 500 pairs of socks and 300 pairs of underwear every single day, and right now, their supply bins are running totally empty. As a community that believes in showing up for people in practical ways and fighting for the dignity of all, we are stepping in to help fix that.

THIS WEEKEND We are hosting a massive underwear drive as part of our God's Work. Our Hands. We need packages of brand new underwear and socks in all adult and children sizes.

Bring your donations to church during the service weekend. Loving our neighbors means meeting them where they are and making sure their most basic needs are met.

Let's fill those bins.

Think about the very first thing you ever created. Maybe it was a messy kindergarten finger painting, a silly song, or even a brand new life in a new city. You did not search for flaws or wait for an audience to critique the rough edges. You declared it good simply because it was yours.

This pure, uncritical love is exactly how the Divine looks at you. You are a deeply cherished creation, held with immense pride and grace. You are inherently good because you belong. Rest in the peace of knowing you are wonderfully made and entirely loved just as you are.

Margaret put Carter to work this week in the Promise Garden, and just look at that bean harvest!

The Promise Garden is a ministry of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection that donates fresh produce each season to the Community Assistance Center.

CAC provides basic needs assistance for our neighbors, helping to prevent homelessness and hunger while promoting self-sufficiency and empowering them to thrive.
