On July 20-22, our Legacy Leaders will be traveling to the Hope Youth Leadership Summit (HYLS). The cost per student is $125, and they need to raise as much of the money as they can. It will cost $500 for all 4 of them to attend. The training and community building that they will get at this event will be invaluable to them. Any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated (and is tax deductible)!! Please read on for more information! 😊

Last year, after our 2nd Annual Latino Parent Night, four students came to talk to me about what they could do to start something at our school for kids like themselves. They hadn't been in leadership before, but they were passionate about starting something to provide a place for students from their community to begin to feel like they had a voice and a place at Sprayberry.
At first, I wasn't sure exactly how they were going to accomplish this; but then they found HoPe (Hispanic Organization Promoting Education) This organization provides the template and training for young leaders. They have a 100% graduation rate, and provide graduation coaches to individually work with our Legacy Leaders.
I'm so excited to see what these students are going to accomplish with these incredible resources and support!
