FBC Marietta Student Ministry This page is for the Student Ministry @ First Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. The Student Ministry is for 6th-12th graders & their families.

We believe that a growing, maturing Christian is someone who is pursuing three vital relationships — intimacy with God, community with fellow believers, and influence with a fallen world. In pursuit of these relationships, our student ministry team creates relationships and environments where students prioritize their relationships with Jesus Christ, influence their friends and experience personal ministry.

Thank you for your support and prayers, as we welcomed our son, Anderson “Andy” Thomas Schirner into the world on August 9th!

Andy is happy and healthy, and Haley is recovering from the delivery. Please continue to be in prayers for Haley’s healing, for Andy to continue to grow strong, and for all of us to adjust to this new blessing and the rhythms that come with it.

We miss you all, and can’t wait to be together again soon! Again, we are so grateful for your support, as we could not do any of this without our loving church family! Let’s continue the life and work of Jesus together!

HEY 👋

As we gear up for an AWESOME AUGUST, we wanted to make sure parents and adults who currently serve (or are interested in plugging in) were updated as best as possible for all that’s coming up this month. 🚨 If you are a parent, adult that serves in the student ministry, or an adult interested in all God is doing in and through us, please check out these 3 opportunities coming up in the Student Center:

1️⃣ PARENT & ADULT INFO MEETING 📝
August 9 | 12:15 PM | Student Center

This meeting is for all new parents and students joining the student ministry, parents already involved in the student ministry, and for adults already serving or interested in how they can get involved and use their God given gifts! Please tell our Student Ministry Team you will be coming so we have a headcount for FREE Lunch. This will be a great meeting to attend to learn more on how the semester will continue as normal while our Minister to Students goes on Paternity Leave for a bit.

2️⃣ WORSHIP TEAM AUDITIONS 🎸
August 12 | 6:30 PM | Student Center

This opportunity is primarily for students WHO ARE NOT ALREADY ON THE WORSHIP TEAM and would like to join! If you are an adult who would be interested in helping mentor students on the Worship Team and leading in worship for our Sunday night Worship Nights, please attend this. Contact our Student Ministry Worship Leader Intern to sign up for an audition slot and meeting ([email protected]).

3️⃣ LEADER TRAINING 📖
August 16 | 12:15 PM | Student Center

This Leader Training is only for our new AND current Small Group Leaders and Sunday School Teachers. Come and fellowship together, get equipped, and learn how the Lord is calling you to lead this year!

These opportunities will be crucial for you to join, and will be led by leaders among our student ministry team in absence of our Minister to Students while he takes Paternity Leave. Please attend and plan on how you can best partner with us as we partner with you in the spiritual formation of students! All for God’s glory! 🙏

We can’t wait to kick off the year with the students with Back to School Bash on the 9th and our first Worship Nights on the 16th!😎
