Due West Methodist Church Donates $80,000 "Light the Night" Display to Cobb County Parks

MARIETTA, GA – Since 2022, the "Light the Night" light display, hosted by the Men's Ministry at Due West Methodist Church, has become a cherished holiday tradition for families across Cobb and Paulding Counties. To ensure this magic reaches an even broader audience, the church is proud to announce the donation of its entire display—valued at over $80,000—to the Cobb County Parks and Recreation department.

The donation includes 50,000 holiday lights, beautiful structural displays, and numerous inflatable characters. While the event will no longer be hosted on the church grounds, the community can look forward to seeing these familiar displays at local public parks. Cobb County is currently finalizing plans to host either a flagship grand display or several smaller installations throughout the region, ensuring the "Light the Night" legacy continues to shine for years to come.

The Cobb County Board of Commissioners will meet on February 24, 2026, at which point the church will formalize this donation, allowing the commissioners to vote on the receipt of this generous gift.
