ope you will join us for a Sunday Service to experience for yourself what Mountain View Church is about. We would like to greet you personally and answer any questions you may have. We realize that coming to a new church can be a bit overwhelming, so we would like to invite you to relax. Come as you are. Know that you are among people who serve a God of Grace and Love and who want to help you experience that. Our worship is a blended worship combining some of the great hymns of the faith with many of the well written contemporary choruses. It is a mixture of celebrational and reflective praise. We believe everyone should have the privilege of worshiping in their own 'worship' vernacular. Therefore, we seek to make our worship meaningful to people of all ages. Our emphasis is upon the expositional teaching of God's word. Most of our message series are done in a verse by verse fashion teaching the historical meaning of the passage while making it applicable and relevant to our everyday lives. KidZone and Primary Children's Church:

Additionally, you will find excellent and exciting kids' programming during our worship time. All children are dismissed to KidZone and Primary Children's Church following a meaningful time of worship with their parents in the 'Big Church.'

We hope you will join us soon!

God commanded Jacob to rise, return, and renew. He called Jacob to rise from where he was, return to Bethel—the place where God had first met him—and renew his commitment to worship and obey God. Jacob responded by putting away the foreign gods, purifying his household, and building an altar to the Lord.

God sometimes calls us to return to Him, leave behind what has drawn us away, and renew our devotion to Him. When we rise, return, and renew, we rediscover the faithfulness of the God who has never left us. View this message live Sunday morning at 10:45 by clicking this link https://mvcmarietta.com/live

Jacob had been changed by God’s grace, but his sons had not learned to respond to evil with grace. Their revenge reminds us that grace does not deny evil, excuse evil, or answer evil with evil. Instead, grace entrusts justice to God.
We may not be able to control how others respond to sin, but we can choose to respond as people who have been changed by grace.

Jacob had spent years running from his past, but now he had to face Esau. What happened next revealed that God’s grace had changed Jacob from the inside out. Grace gave Jacob the courage to face his past. Instead of running away, Jacob moved toward Esau. Grace gave Jacob the ability to reconcile with others. The brothers who had once been divided by anger and deception were brought together in forgiveness and peace. Grace gave Jacob the desire to live differently. Jacob no longer lived with the same fear, pride, and self-reliance. God’s grace had changed his heart, his relationships, and his direction. When we truly experience God’s grace, we don’t remain the same. Grace gives us courage to face yesterday, strength to make peace today, and a desire to walk differently tomorrow.

Jacob wrestled with God—and walked away different. God changed his plans. God changed his person. God changed his posture. The schemer who had spent his life striving, manipulating, and taking matters into his own hands learned to surrender and depend on God. Sometimes God changes what we’re facing; other times, He changes who we are while we’re facing it. The struggle may be God’s way of bringing us to a place of surrender, dependence, and blessing.

Family conflicts can leave us discouraged, misunderstood, and emotionally exhausted. Jacob had reached his breaking point. After years of faithful service, he finally confronted Laban's deception and false accusations. Although Laban remained blinded by his own distorted view of reality, God protected Jacob and used even a strained relationship to establish peace through a covenant. Join us this Sunday as we discover how to respond with truth, integrity, and faith when life takes an unexpected detour through difficult family relationships.

Jacob’s journey reminds us that life doesn’t always go according to plan—even at work. Yet through changing circumstances and difficult situations, Jacob knew who his true employer was: God. He remained a man of integrity, faithfully serving even when others treated him unfairly. And as God blessed Jacob, he used those blessings to point others to God’s faithfulness. When life takes an unexpected detour, we can trust God, keep our integrity, and use every opportunity to give Him the glory.

Jacob's journey to find a wife takes an unexpected turn when he arrives in Haran and discovers that life doesn't always unfold according to our plans. Through deception, disappointment, and family rivalry, Jacob learns that even when life takes a detour, God is still at work. Genesis 29 reminds us that God's purposes are not thwarted by our circumstances, and His presence remains with us even when the road ahead looks nothing like we expected.
