The reward for those who help in donating to mosque expenses is immense in the sight of Allah, as they contribute to the establishment of His houses, providing a place for worship, education, and remembrance. Among the rewards associated with this noble act are:
1. The Reward of Continuous Charity (Sadaqah Jariyah): The Prophet ﷺ said: “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” (Reported by Muslim). Contributing to the construction or maintenance of a mosque is a form of continuous charity whose rewards persist even after one’s death.
2. Multiplication of Good Deeds: Allah promises to multiply the reward for those who give in charity. He says: “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed of grain that sprouts seven ears; in every ear, there are a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills, and Allah is all-encompassing and all-knowing.” (Al-Baqarah: 261).
3. A House in Paradise: The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” (Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim). This includes everyone who contributes to the mosque’s construction, even in a small way.
4. Blessings and Prosperity in This Life and the Hereafter: Spending on Allah’s houses brings blessings and increases one’s provision. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Charity does not decrease wealth.” (Reported by Muslim).
5. Sharing in Spreading Goodness and Knowledge: Mosques serve as centers for worship and education, and those who help in equipping them share in the rewards of every prayer, lesson, or remembrance of Allah held within them.

Thus, supporting mosque expenses—whether through construction, maintenance, or any form of donation—is a noble act that brings one closer to Allah and guarantees lasting rewards.

Assalamualaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Imam Abdul Shaheed, who returned to his Allah SWT . Yesterday morning Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we return

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

In this moment of loss, we ask all of you to remember him, his wives, and his family in your heartfelt du'as. May Allah (SWT) grant them Sabrun Jameel (beautiful patience) and fill their hearts with peace.

The Salat al-Janazah will take place Thursday, February 20th, after Dhuhr at 1:00 PM at Masjid Ibad-Ur-Rahman in Marietta, followed by the burial at the ECIC Cemetery insha'Allah. We request the community to gather and offer du'a for our beloved brother, asking Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, elevate his status in Jannah, and grant him eternal peace.

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ، وَعَافِهِ، وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ، وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدْ، وَنَقِّهِ مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَما نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الأَبْيَضَ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَاراً خَيْراً مِنْ دَارِهِ، وَأَهْلاً خَيْراً مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، وَزَوْجاً خَيْراً مِنْ زَوْجِهِ، وَأَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَأَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ

O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him and give him strength and pardon him. Be generous to him and cause his entrance to be wide and wash him with water and snow and hail. Cleanse him of his transgressions as white cloth is cleansed of stains. Give him an abode better than his home, and a family better than his family and a wife better than his wife. Take him into Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave (and from the punishment of Hell-fire).

Let us all come together in this difficult time, supporting his family and reflecting on the fleeting nature of this world. May we all be inspired to live our lives with sincerity, faith, and compassion.
