The Book of Ecclesiastes challenges many Bible students because it explores the depressing ideas of toil and meaninglessness. In this first chapter, the Preacher (most likely King Solomon) begins by declaring all things as vanity or meaningless. This statement alone puts many people off of studying this book. However, if we stick with this study, we will soon discover that we will relate to the wisdom found in it, and we will discover that the conclusions are worth the struggle....
