Our new campaign, 🌟Building Tomorrow Together🌟, has launched, and we need your support!

For more than twenty years, Ciudad has been a place where children find what they never should have lost: A family. A safe home. A future.
As we provide family, healing, and hope, we're also preparing for the future through three critical projects that will impact every child on campus for years to come. As we look ahead, we aren't simply maintaining what exists.

We're preparing for what comes next. Today we're excited to introduce a new initiative that will carry us through the coming year:
The Building Tomorrow Together Campaign!
This effort focuses on strengthening the everyday tools and resources that help make family life possible at Ciudad.
This is about making the impact that helps us serve each child well.
Because they're essential needs with real meaning.
The vehicles that get children safely where they need to be replaced.
The technology that supports learning and operations needs refreshed.
The infrastructure that keeps every home functioning day after day needs your help.
These make the foundation that allows everything else to happen.
Every meal. Every school day. Every doctor's appointment.
Every bedtime prayer. Every opportunity for a child to thrive.
Together, we're not just meeting needs.
We're building tomorrow.
Our goal is $80,000 to complete these necessary projects.

One thing we are constantly reminded of at Ciudad de Ángeles is this:

No one does this alone. ❤️

It takes a village to help create a safe, loving home for the children here and we are so thankful for ours.

For over 20 years, we’ve been blessed by a volunteers who serve these precious children, loving on them, and stepping into the everyday moments that make this place feel like family.

People often see the buildings or programs first…

But what truly makes Ciudad special are the people who quietly show up with open hands and willing hearts.

To every volunteer, supporter, prayer partner, mission team member, and friend of Ciudad:

Summer is arriving at Ciudad… and that means mission team season is officially here. ☀️✈️❤️

Over the next few months, we’ll welcome 12 incredible teams to campus.

These teams help with projects, encouragement, activities, relationship-building, and so much more but their impact goes far beyond the work itself.

They bring energy.
Joy.
Extra laughter.
Fresh encouragement.

For our children, these visits create memories they carry with them long after the teams return home.

And for our staff and house parents, they are a reminder that this mission is surrounded by people who care deeply.

We are incredibly grateful for every person preparing to serve this summer.

The kids are officially dancing their way into summer. ☀️💃❤️

This month they’ve been taking Zumba classes filled with movement, laughter, music, and so much joy.

And while it may look like “just dancing”…

Moments like these are deeply meaningful.

Healing happens in so many ways:
Through safety.
Through play.
Through community.
Through laughter.
Through simply getting to be kids.

We are so grateful for volunteers who pour their time and love into creating these moments for the children of Ciudad. It truly takes a village and we are thankful for ours every single day. ❤️

This month, four new children arrived at Ciudad.

Four little lives now waking up in safety.Four children now surrounded by consistency, structure, love, and people who already know their favorite snacks and bedtime routines.

That matters deeply.

People often picture orphan care as cold institutions or crowded dormitories.

Ciudad is the opposite of that.

Here, children grow up in homes. They eat dinner together. They pray together. They argue over whose turn it is to clean up. They ride bikes under palm trees and run out of school reaching to people they call “mom” and “dad.”

It’s not always perfect. It’s real family.

And we are unbelievably grateful for every person helping to make this possible.

One of the biggest ways you can help right now is simply by helping more people discover Ciudad.

There are so many beautiful ways God is working before us at Ciudad right now.

Spring break was a cherished time this year💛

The kids spent time at the beach together, laughing in the waves and soaking up the kind of carefree moments every child deserves.

We brought inflatables onto campus for a full day of fun! And for some of the children, it was their very first time going to the circus one evening. 🎪

Watching them simply get to be kids never gets old. And maybe the most special part?

The kids enjoying each other’s company.The house parents cheering everybody on.The feeling of family woven into every moment.

This place is so much more than buildings or programs. It’s healing.It’s belonging.It’s a second chance at childhood.

From the very beginning, there has been something about Ciudad that felt deeply personal to both of us. Ciudad isn’t just a mission — it’s a home.

A place where children who have experienced hardship are surrounded by love, stability, and a true family environment. And getting to be part of that story is something we don’t take lightly. I think you'll find it's not just about leadership for us, it's about heart.

This place runs on love, faith, and a community of people who choose to say “yes” to being part of something bigger than themselves.

We're so grateful to step into these roles, and to walk alongside the incredible leadership of James, our Executive Director, all of the amazing board members, our anchor churches, donors and supporters.
