Our sincere condolences are extended to the family of Deacon Charles Willis Melton (uncle of our First Lady Brenda Blackmon Jones). Our prayers are with his son Reginald Melton and daughter Beverly Melton. He was preceded in death by his wife Maggie Blackmon Melton (sister of the late Elder Tom Blackmon). He is best remembered by our community as the owner of Melton & Son House Movers in Gordon, Alabama.

The funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1:30 PM at the Church of God By Faith, 128 S Rocky Creek Rd in Ashford, Alabama.

The visitation will take place Friday evening, August 21, 2026 from 5PM to 7PM at the Church of God By Faith, 128 S Rocky Creek Rd in Ashford, Alabama.
