Tonight’s Valentine’s Day Fellowship at church was more than an event… it was a reminder.
A reminder that love is not just romantic… it is communal. It is spiritual. It is intentional.
The room was filled with laughter that felt genuine, conversations that flowed naturally, and a warmth that could not be manufactured. You could see it in the smiles. You could hear it in the harmonies. You could feel it in the way people lingered just a little longer, not wanting the night to end.
The songs carried us. Some of them made us sway. Some of them made us reflect. A few of them had us smiling at each other like, “Yes Lord, that’s the one.” Music has a way of breaking down walls and building bridges at the same time.
The scriptures grounded us. Verses about love that we’ve heard before somehow felt fresh again. “Love is patient… love is kind…” not just words recited, but words embodied in the room. It was beautiful to witness faith and fellowship intertwine so effortlessly.
And those shareables? Listen… Courtney and Lacey's group definitely won that category.
What stood out most was the unity. No cliques. No tension. Just family. Different ages. Different backgrounds. Same spirit. Same love. The kind of unity that doesn’t just happen… it’s cultivated.
Nights like this remind me why fellowship matters. Why gathering matters. Why community matters. Love is not just something we preach from the pulpit. It is something we practice during fellowship.
And tonight… we practiced well.
