Who is your best friend? Aristotle notes that there are three types of friends: those of utility, pleasure, and virtue. In the Christian understanding, truly virtuous friendship continues into heaven because the two people have spurred each other on to holiness. Learn more about virtuous friends here:

Today we joins the universal Church in celebrating the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, meditating on the great gift of the Eucharist that Jesus has left us. It is the food that truly nourishes us for our journey toward heaven.

The parish church of Sainte-Mère-Église in Normandy is now famous for what happened there on June 6, 1944: D-Day. Private John Steele of the 82nd Airborne parachuted into town, was injured by flak, and dangled from the pinnacle of the church.

He faked being dead for two whole hours, until the Germans took him prisoner. Later, he was able to escape and rejoin his unit.

Today, these events are commemorated by the "Parachute Memorial," which still dangles from the church steeple. It's a tribute to all the soldiers who fought to liberate Europe.

As our undefined family, let's pray today for all soldiers who have died in the defense of basic freedoms.

🌿🦁 What an amazing final day of VBS! 🐒🌿

Our jungle adventure, "Wild About God," came to a wonderful close today! We learned about Adam and Eve and how God loves us and wants us to trust Him.

We wrapped up the week with a special program for our families, where the children shared what they learned, followed by a delicious meal and time of fellowship together.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our families for sharing your children with us, to the kids for bringing so much energy and excitement each day, and to our incredible volunteers who gave their time, talents, and hearts to make this week such a success. We couldn't have done it without you!

In the Old Testament, God commands that the Israelites harvest a "first fruit" every year and offer it to him. This means that the first food coming forth from the earth went to the Lord, not to the people.

This feast was designed to establish a greater trust in God - if you give over the first fruit to him, you need to trust that the rest of the harvest will be plentiful.

Today, we are encouraged to tithe, or give a tenth, to God and charitable organizations.or family, do we give the first tenth we receive each month? Or do we give from our excess? Consider offering up that first fruit to God to establish greater trust in him!

VBS Day 2 – Wild About God!

What an amazing day in the jungle! Today, our adventurers learned about Daniel and the lions' den and discovered how God was with Daniel through every challenge.

We talked about the importance of prayer, trusting God, and having courage even when things seem scary. Just as Daniel faithfully prayed and stood strong in his faith, we can be brave and trust God no matter what comes our way.
The kids enjoyed a day full of Bible lessons, games, music, crafts, snack, and fun as we continued our journey of being "Wild About God!"

We can't wait to see what God has in store for Day 3! Reminder families are welcome to attend our VBS program tomorrow at 11am with lunch to follow.

Day 1 of VBS: Wild About God

Today we traveled back to the very beginning and learned about God's incredible creation. From the light in the sky to the animals on the earth, we discovered that God created everything with purpose and care.
The kids enjoyed Bible lessons, crafts, games, music, snacks and lots of fun while learning that God's creation is good and that each of us is a special part of His plan.

We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings as we continue our VBS jungle adventure!

As was often the case, their story was fully told by their executioner, a man who later received baptism because he was so impressed by the courage of the men he killed. He sought out Pope Damasus and told him the story.
