The carpet is done and looks great!

Tomorrow, the chairs will arrive sometime between 9 and 3. We won’t know until 30 minutes before they arrive. We're going to need help moving the chairs into the building and setting them up in the sanctuary. If you want to be contacted by Pastor Nick when he hears from the delivery driver, please let him know. We recognize that you may not be available at the time we need, but if you want to be contacted, He’ll put you on the list.

There is more work to be done than just moving the chairs in. We have to move all the stage stuff back, including the piano, drums, and more. We have to put lots of stuff back in the two side rooms. We have to cover outlets and rewire stage boxes for microphones and instruments. We have to put hymnals, Bibles, cards, envelopes, and pens in the chairs. If you can help with any of these things, please join us at or after 9 AM on Saturday.

We’re just two weeks out from the HGC summer campout at En-Egedi Campground (30321 Covey Rd, Leonidas, MI 49066), and there are a few things everyone at HGC should know about that weekend - June 26-28.

Campers: If you are camping and have questions, you’d be best to ask Lindsay Rhoderic or call the campground (269-689-7490).

Non-Campers: You are welcome to hang out with the campers during the day and go home at night. Especially on Saturday, please join us for the river trip and picnic.

River Trip: We will take a canoe and kayak trip on the St. Joseph River on Saturday afternoon, starting at 1 PM. If you want to join us on that trip, you need to sign up on the sheet at the back of the church sanctuary or contact Pastor Nick through text, call, or email. If you casually talked with him about this in the past but have not actually signed up, He's not counting you, yet! If you have your own boats, please bring them. We hope to provide boats for everyone, but if we can’t, kayaks can be rented from the campground. We will choose the section of the river based on the weather and who is going.

Church Picnic: We will have our annual church picnic on Saturday at 6 PM. Plates and plasticware will be provided. Bring a chair, your own meat to cook, and a dish to pass.

Sunday Worship: This year, in order to worship as a unified congregation, we are asking the campers to pack up on Sunday morning and come back to HGC for worship at 11 AM. There will not be Sunday School that day, but there will be Kids’ Church.

The pews need a new home. We thought we had a taker, but they just backed out. Please share the listing. I believe there are 23 pews left. All but one are 19' long and probably weigh 500 lbs. The pew removal and carpet ripping party is this Sunday at 2 PM.

Tonight, the HGC softball team takes on Three Rivers Nazarene at TR Naz. The game starts at 6:30, which gives you time to head to Culver's for dinner. The HCS Class of 2028 will be serving at Culver’s between 5 and 8 PM, and 15% of all sales, including dine-in, drive-through, and gift cards, go toward their class fund! Please come support them and get a good dinner before the game.
