At Ford and Liley Monuments, it is always a privilege to help bring meaningful visions to life, and we were truly honored to work alongside Eagle Scout Nolan Strickland with Troop 311 on the Jackson City Cemetery Veterans Memorial.

Nolan’s dedication, leadership, and passion for preserving local history has resulted in a remarkable tribute that will stand for generations to come. We are incredibly proud to see such a young person take the initiative to invision a memorial that honors the brave men and women who served our nation.

The memorial recognizes veterans buried within Jackson City Cemetery, representing service from the Revolutionary War through the Korean War. Their sacrifices and commitment to our country are now permanently honored through this beautiful civic memorial.

The official dedication ceremony is on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Jackson City Cemetery, Jackson, MO. Come show your support for Nolan, celebrate this outstanding Eagle Scout project, and help honor the veterans whose service helped shape our nation’s history.

Congratulations, Nolan, on this incredible accomplishment. Thank you for the honor of allowing us to make your vision of this great civic memorial become a reality.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and love for this nation will never be forgotten. Because of them, we enjoy freedoms that many paid the ultimate price to protect.

As the flags wave proudly throughout our Avenue of Flags at Bollinger County Memorial Park, they are a constant reminder of the heroes past and present who strongly served our country. Today, may they serve as a powerful reminder of the heroes who are no longer with us. Those who demonstrated the utmost bravery and never made it home, but forever remain in our hearts.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Woodland Beta Club students (Adeleigh Morgan, Molly Huffman, and Jackson Carlton) for volunteering their time and helping place the flags with such care and respect. Your willingness to serve your community and honor our veterans is truly appreciated and does not go unnoticed.
