Lutesville Presbyterian Church, Marble Hill. MO After 120 years, we have had to officially close.

The building has been bought by the County Commissioners to be used as a temporary Courtroom, and in the not so distant future will become the home of the BoCo Archives and house the County MO Extension.

Did you know that Fred McFeely Rogers, a.k.a. Mister Rogers of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, was an ordained Presbyterian minister? After graduating from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, he was commissioned by the United Presbyterian Church of the U.S.A. (UPCUSA) to continue his ministry through children's television programming.

Mr. Rogers went on to revolutionize children’s TV, becoming a quintessential childhood figure in the lives and hearts of millions. Today we celebrate his memory and legacy. Happy Mr. Rogers Day!

CHURCH WOMEN HONOR U.N. DELEGATES NEW YORK

The three women pictured here were the featured guest speakers at a 1954 luncheon for more than 1,200 women honoring the women delegates to the Ninth General Assembly of the United Nations today at the Waldorf Astoria. At the left is First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, standing next to Mossie Lena Wyker, president of United Church Women, and Mary Pillsbury Lord, the U.S. representative to the U.N. Commission on Human Rights. United Church Women sponsored the luncheon, where Mrs. Roosevelt praised the "tremendous support given the UN by the church women through United Church Women, representing more than ten million in the country."

Washington Office has released a statement on the death of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old Presbyterian woman whose fatal shooting by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer last week in Minneapolis has sparked protests around the country.
