To the mothers,
Every year during the month of May, we celebrate women who have children. Too many times, we overlook the women who walk in the nontraditional paths of motherhood: the spiritual mothers who mentor us in church, encourage us to hang in there and pray for us daily, the women that sit among us with empty arms who long to have children but it's not God's plan, the women who have had a pregnancy that ended early and their baby went on to be with the Lord, the women who are part of the life of a child that is not their own who love them more than that child could ever know yet does not get the cuddles and kisses like mom. God has a beautiful design for the family with two parents, a man and woman who are bound together in marriage, but in our broken world, when the family has been shattered to pieces, God will allow a woman to fill in the gap and guide, guard and love a child that is not her own. We must trust His divine plans in our lives and know that whether the child you hold in your heart is there by blood relation or by the bonds of love, whether the child is running around in the yard or running down heavens golden streets, God loves every mother and every mother deserves to be honored. Thank you moms, this world would be so different without you.
