Sometimes God’s answer doesn’t come as quickly or in the way we expect.

In Matthew 15, a Canaanite woman came to Jesus desperate for help. She cried out, “Lord, help me!”

When Jesus spoke about the children’s bread and the dogs, she didn’t walk away angry. She trusted him.

“Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
— Matthew 15:27

Her faith wasn’t based on what she deserved. It was based on who Jesus is.

She knew that even the smallest portion of Jesus’ mercy would be more than enough.

And Jesus gave her far more than crumbs.

He praised her faith and healed her daughter.

The same is true for us. There may be times when God seems quiet or his timing is difficult to understand. But silence doesn’t mean Jesus has stopped listening. We can continue to pray those simple words:

“Lord, help me.”

And we can trust his mercy, wisdom, and timing.

Because Jesus has already given us far more than crumbs. He gave his life for us on the cross, forgave our sins, and brought us into God’s family.

When we’re hurt or angry, our first instinct can be to pull away, shut the door, and build a wall.

But Jesus came to tear walls down.

Ephesians tells us that people who were once divided and hostile toward one another were brought together through Christ:

“For he himself is our peace… and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.”
Ephesians 2:14

At the cross, nobody gets to say, “I’m better than you.” We all come with the same problem—sin—and we all need the same Savior.

And there we find the same incredible gift: forgiveness.

Jesus brings us near to God, and that changes how we see one another. Sometimes peace begins with a simple step:

“I’m sorry.”
“I forgive you.”
“Can we talk?”

We may need time to cool down, but we don’t have to keep building walls.

Jesus is our peace. ❤️✝️

Isaiah gives us a beautiful picture of God gathering people from every nation and background into his family:

“For my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
Isaiah 56:7

In the Old Testament, people from other nations were joining Israel to worship the true God. Why? Because they discovered something incredible: God wasn’t only for one group of people. His promises were for them too.

That promise is still being fulfilled today.

Jesus came for every nation, every community, every family, and every person. His forgiveness isn’t limited to people who grew up in church or who have everything figured out.

Jesus is for everyone.
His love is for everyone.
His promise of eternal life is for everyone.

And that includes you. ❤️

We pray that more and more people in our growing North Marana community will come to know the rest, hope, and joy that Jesus gives.

Peter stepped out of the boat because Jesus said, “Come.” For a moment, he walked on the water.

Then he noticed the wind. He saw the waves. Fear took over and Peter began to sink.

We know that feeling.

Sometimes the “wind and waves” are worry, uncertainty, guilt, a struggling friendship, or the endless what ifs running through our minds. Suddenly, the storm can feel bigger than our Savior.

Peter didn’t save himself. He simply cried out:

“Lord, save me!”

And immediately Jesus reached out and caught him.

That’s the beautiful part of this story. Jesus didn’t tell Peter to try harder or swim his way back. Jesus reached for him.

He does the same for us.

When our faith feels weak, Jesus remains strong. When fear rises, his promises remain true. When we begin to sink beneath sin, guilt, or worry, our Savior is still there with the forgiveness he won through his cross and empty tomb.

Christian faith doesn’t mean we’ll never feel afraid.

It means we know who to call when we do.

🙏 “Lord, save me!”

And Jesus still reaches out.

Life doesn’t always hold together the way we expect.

Plans change. Hard days come. We face disappointment, fear, sickness, and uncertainty. Sometimes we wonder, “Is God still with me? Does he still love me?”

Romans 8 gives us a beautiful answer:
“Neither death nor life… neither the present nor the future… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 8:38-39

It still holds.

God’s love still holds when life is scary. It still holds when prayers aren’t answered the way we hoped. It still holds when we’re hurting or the future feels uncertain.

How can we be sure? Look at Jesus.

God gave his own Son for us. Jesus carried our sins to the cross and rose again. The cross is God’s answer when we wonder, “Is God still for me?”

In Jesus, the answer is yes.

Hard days will still come. But they cannot separate you from Christ. Sad days can’t take Jesus away. Scary days can’t remove you from his love.

God’s love doesn’t slip, snap, or fall apart under pressure.

In Jesus, it still holds. Always. ❤️

Have you ever felt completely alone even when you weren’t?

Elijah knew that feeling. He had faithfully shared God’s Word, but people rejected it. Queen Jezebel wanted him dead. Exhausted and afraid, Elijah ran away and cried out to God:

“I am the only one left!”

But Elijah wasn’t alone.

God showed him something remarkable. First came a powerful wind. Then an earthquake. Then a fire. But the Lord wasn’t in any of them.

Then came a gentle whisper.

“And after the fire came a gentle whisper.” 1 Kings 19:12

Through his quiet Word, God reminded Elijah of the truth: You are not alone.

Our feelings can be very real, but they don’t always tell us the whole story.

You may feel unseen. God sees you.
You may feel forgotten. God remembers you.
You may feel alone. God is with you.

And Jesus proves it.

He came to be with sinners.
He died for sinners.
He rose for sinners.
And he promises to be with his people always.

When life gets loud, frightening, or lonely, listen again to God’s gentle whisper in his Word:

❤️ You are not alone. Your Savior is with you.

🍞🐟 When What You Have Feels Too Little

Five loaves. Two fish. Thousands of hungry people.

To the disciples, it didn’t add up. What they had was far too little for the need in front of them.

But Jesus said, “Bring them here to me.”

And that changed everything.

Jesus took the small amount they had, gave thanks, and fed the entire crowd. Everyone ate until they were satisfied and there were twelve baskets of leftovers!

Sometimes what we have can feel too small too.

Not enough time.
Not enough strength.
Not enough patience.
Not enough answers.
Not enough courage for what comes next.

Jesus doesn’t ask us to make the impossible possible on our own. He invites us to bring what we have to him.

Most importantly, Jesus saw our greatest need—a Savior—and gave himself for us. His forgiveness doesn’t run out. His love doesn’t run dry. His promises are always enough.

❤️ When what you have feels too little, put it in Jesus’ hands.

“They all ate and were satisfied.” —Matthew 14:20

It feels good to be picked.

Whether it is for a team, a special job, or even choosing the family movie. But being left out can make us feel forgotten or unimportant.

God gives us wonderful news in Ephesians:
“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world… In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ.”
Ephesians 1:4-5

Before the mountains, oceans, stars, animals, or even the tiniest bug existed, God already knew you. He chose you in Jesus and planned to bring you into his family.

God did not choose you because you were the strongest, smartest, or best-behaved. He chose you because of his grace. Through Jesus’ perfect life, innocent death, and victorious resurrection, you are forgiven, redeemed, and dearly loved.

When you feel overlooked or wonder whether you matter, remember:
💛 You are not forgotten.
💛 You are not an accident.
💛 You are loved by God.
💛 In Jesus, you were picked on purpose.

God's Delivery Service

When you think of a delivery service, you probably picture a truck pulling into your driveway. Elijah experienced something a little different. God sent ravens to deliver bread and meat every morning and evening!

It sounds unusual, but it reminds us of an important truth:
God's provision doesn't always arrive the way we expect.

Sometimes God provides through family and friends. Sometimes through a neighbor, a church family, or an unexpected opportunity. And sometimes, just when we think we have everything figured out, God surprises us in ways only He could.

Elijah didn't know exactly how God would care for him. He simply trusted God's promise and God was faithful.

The greatest example of God's provision wasn't delivered by birds, but by His own Son. Through Jesus, God has provided exactly what we need most: forgiveness, hope, new life, and the promise of eternity with Him.

Whatever this week brings, remember:
The God who sent ravens with bread has not forgotten you. He knows what you need, and He promises to provide.

"My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

A Treasure That Never Fades

Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.” Matthew 13:44

We spend a lot of time chasing things we believe will make life better... a new phone, a bigger house, more money, or the latest upgrade. Those things may bring happiness for a while, but eventually they break, wear out, or lose their shine.

Jesus offers us something infinitely greater.

Through him, our sins are forgiven. We belong to God’s kingdom. We have the promise of resurrection and eternal life in heaven. This treasure cannot be lost, stolen, thrown away, or replaced by something newer.

And we did not have to purchase it. We could never afford it.

Jesus gave up everything for us. He left heaven, carried our sins to the cross, and rose again so that we could belong to his kingdom forever.

May our hearts learn to say: “Jesus, you are my treasure.”
