Honoring Our Fallen Heroes 🙏🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, our parish community gathers in prayer to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

As Scripture reminds us, "No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." (John 15:13)

Let us pray:
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

We also keep their families in our prayers today, asking God to bring them comfort and peace.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13

May God grant eternal rest to the fallen, comfort to their loved ones, and peace to our nation. 🇺🇸

🔥 Happy Pentecost Sunday, Parish Family! 🔥

Today, we joyfully celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the official birthday of the Church!

Fifty days after Easter, the Holy Spirit descended as a driving wind and tongues of fire, turning fear into fierce courage. That same Holy Spirit is alive in the Sacramental life of the Church, active, and dwelling inside you today—ready to renew your heart, give you strength, and guide your steps.

Let us pray together today:

🕊️ “Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in us the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth.”

👇 In the comments below, share one gift or fruit of the Holy Spirit you are praying for today! (Wisdom, courage, peace, patience...)

Fulton J. Sheen often reminded the world, “You can’t take it with you, but you can send it on ahead,” teaching that wealth and fame fade away while love, sacrifice, and the souls we help lead to Christ echo into eternity. His life perfectly reflected another of his most beloved lines: “It doesn’t require much time to make us saints. It requires only much love.” Through his preaching, writing, and groundbreaking television ministry, Sheen spent decades calling people toward Jesus Christ, holiness, and the Eucharist, becoming one of the most influential Catholic voices of the 20th century. After years of devotion from the faithful and recognition of a miracle attributed to his intercession, the Church has officially scheduled his beatification for September 24, 2026, in St. Louis

“The Church has received the Eucharist from Christ as the gift par excellence, for it is the gift of Himself.”
— St. Pope John Paul II

Jesus did not leave us with only teachings or memories. He gave us His very presence. At every Mass, Catholics believe the bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Not just a symbol, but Jesus truly present under the appearance of bread and wine.

That is why the Eucharist is at the center of the Catholic faith. It is God giving Himself completely to His people. In John 6, Jesus said, “My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink.” Many walked away because the teaching was hard, but He did not change His words. The saints built their lives around this reality because they believed Jesus meant exactly what He said.

If the Eucharist really is Jesus Christ, then Mass is never “just another Sunday.” It changes how we pray, how we receive Communion, and how seriously we take our relationship with God.

💬 Do you think the world would look different if every Catholic truly believed the Eucharist was Jesus Himself?

A reminder like this could help someone return to the Eucharist with deeper faith and reverence.

📸 A Blessed Moment with Our Beloved Bishop Emeritus! 🇺🇸🇻🇦
We are overjoyed to share this beautiful photo of our beloved Bishop Emeritus Gerald Kicanas spending quality time with his longtime friend, Pope Leo XIV!

Did you know their bond goes back over 30 years? Both grew up in Chicago and even share a love for the White Sox! From their early days in ministry to the Pope’s historic election as the first-ever American Pontiff, they have remained close friends and brothers in Christ.

During their time together, Pope Leo XIV expressed his deep gratitude and sent his heartfelt blessings to the people of the Diocese of Tucson!

Please join us in keeping our beloved Bishop Emeritus Kicanas and Pope Leo XIV in your daily prayers as they continue to shepherd the faithful with wisdom, compassion, and grace.
