As we conclude our "Heroes of The Faith," worship series this Sunday, you are invited to wear purple in honor of the Gentile God-worshipper from the city of Thyatira, a dealer in purple cloth.

It's also "blessing of the bikes," this Sunday so you could also come in your bicycle gear. Either way, we're looking forward to worshipping with you.

One of Raquel's responsibilities as Office Administrator, is to work with all of our ministries and building partners to coordinate the spaces they need to carry out the mission. Tonight, our building partner Little Garden Montessori is celebrating the end of the school year with a gathering of teachers, families, and kids. Raquel stopped by the fellowship hall to admire the decoration, and grabbed a picture with LG co-directors, Tami and Leah.

Our youth group/ confirmation class, spent some time volunteering at Wakaŋ Tipi Center late in 2025. What an exciting addition to our community.

Wakaŋ Tipi Center in St. Paul opens its doors to visitors on Friday. The center is located at Wakaŋ Tipi, an Indigenous sacred site formerly known as Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary. “We celebrate that children are an important part of God’s story right now. Children, youth, and adults all have gifts to share, voices to raise, and dreams inspired by the Spirit.”

🔥 On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came with power, bringing people together across languages, ages, and backgrounds. ❤️

As Peter shared the words of the prophet Joel, he reminded the crowd that God’s Spirit is for everyone:

“I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your children will speak my words. Young people will see visions. Old people will dream dreams... Everyone who calls on God’s name will be saved.” (Acts 2)

At Shine, we celebrate that children are an important part of God’s story right now. Children, youth, and adults all have gifts to share, voices to raise, and dreams inspired by the Spirit.

This Pentecost, may we listen for God’s Spirit moving in our communities and empowering every generation to share God’s love and peace with the world. 🕊️

Today, we'd like to highlight a workshop called "Holy Resistance: An Introduction to Faithful Noncooperation and Authoritarian Breakthrough," led by Rev. Dana Neuhauser.

Learn some basics about authoritarianism and noncooperation; engage with biblical examples of noncooperation; and tap into your moral imagination to brainstorm possible collective actions.

Last Sunday, our Director of Discipleship Isaiah Friesen shared a little bit with our kids about the late Archbishop Oscar Romero of El Salvador, an inspiration to all of us who co-labor with God to create a more loving world for all.

It was a morning of celebrations including the premier of two beautiful choral pieces composed by Randy Bauer and sung by the Chancel Choir. We also celebrated high school, college and one doctoral graduations. We are proud of our grads!

A note from Pastor Katie:

Earlier today, I received a call from one of our choir members who said, "Katie, I've been singing in church choirs my entire life, and I've never experienced anything like I experienced last night at choir rehearsal. Those two songs by Randy are superb! Sunday is going to be GREAT!"

The Path of Grace Chancel Choir will be DEBUTING two new pieces composed especially for them this weekend written by our own Randy Bauer. Besides his talents in playing and teaching Randy is an excellent composer. We can't wait to see you on Sunday.
