Praise the Lord! Kidnapped for 9 months. Released!

We are grateful to confirm that our good friend and brother in Christ, Kevin Rideout, has been released after over nine months in captivity.

He was kidnapped from outside his home in Niamey, Niger on the 21st of October, 2025.

Kevin is in good health in the care of US officials.

He will soon be reunited with Krista, his children, and his extended family.

Krista and the rest of Kevin’s family are profoundly grateful for the prayers offered on their behalf by people around the world throughout his captivity, and in particular for the deep level of prayer and support offered by our SIM family.

We ask that you respect the privacy of the family while they reconnect after this time apart.

Please join us in giving thanks to the Lord for this incredibly good news!

On Friday, July 10 at Presque Isle International Airport, there will be an opportunity to learn about missionary aviation: what it is; how to support it; how to serve in it. Linnie Weeks of Samaritan's Purse will be speaking. And, if the weather permits, Linnie will have his airplane present that has "Jesus Saves" painted on the bottom of the wings.

In addition to promoting missionary aviation in general, there will be opportunity for teens to learn about opportunities to pursue aviation. Perhaps one day a teen you know will be a "PIlot with Purpose" flying to the ends of the earth.

Martin was a pilot for New Tribes Mission.

REMEMBERING MARTYRS: On this day in 2002, Martin Burnham was killed in a firefight between the Philippine Army and the Islamist group that had kidnapped Martin and his wife, Gracia. The Burnhams and others were kidnapped and forced to travel through the treacherous jungles of the Philippines for months. Martin and Gracia, though enduring much suffering, gave thanks to God for the opportunity to share the gospel with the guerrilla fighters.

Flight Camp is your opportunity to learn about all aspects of aviation, on the ground and in the air. It’s also an opportunity to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ and consider how you can live your life for Him.
