Lord Jesus,
You taught us to love our enemies and to pray for those who hurt us. I bring before You the people who have caused me pain, confusion, or anger. I ask You to bless them with Your peace, truth, and mercy. Heal whatever wounds have led them to act as they have, and heal my own heart of resentment, bitterness, or fear.
Give me the grace to forgive as You forgive, not by my strength, but by Yours. Help me to see others as You see them, and to respond with love where I would rather withdraw or retaliate. May Your Holy Spirit guard my words, guide my actions, and free my heart, so that I may walk in true freedom as Your disciple.
Amen.

The Stations of the Cross, also called the Way of the Cross or Via Crucis, is a devotional practice that helps Catholics meditate on the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. By meditating on each station, the faithful make a spiritual pilgrimage, deepening their understanding of Christ’s Passion and strengthening their faith.

Dolores “Sis’ Pettway Battaglia, 81, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, at her home in Grandy, NC.

The funeral service will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Maple, NC Monday February 9, 2026 at 10 am. Father Alex Gonzalez will officiate. Committal and burial at Hampton Cemetery in Waterlily, NC will immediately follow the funeral service.
