Family Focus Weekend/Men's Breakfast

03/12/2020

Dear church family,

We wanted to give you an update on our ministry plans for TCC regarding the concern with Covid-19. After prayer and much consideration, Thursday morning and evening ministry meetings, along with Men's Breakfast will be postponed until further notice.

All Sunday services will be conducted as normal. Our leadership and teachers will be screened for symptoms according to the Health Order (see below).

Our reason for these decisions are to ensure that we can maintain the priority of the corporate gathering on the Lord's Day for worship, while minimizing exposure and risk that comes with our additional ministries and shared meals during the week.

Having said this, we need to ensure we do the following.

According to Governor Inslee's Health Order released today (via Dr. Jeff Duchin Local Health Officer), we need to emphasize that if anyone is sick (including children, all volunteers and classroom teachers) please stay home. Please consider this as a ministry to each other, especially our youngest and elderly of our congregation.

If anyone is considered a higher risk, we encourage you to stay home, even if you are not sick.

For Sunday service, if you need to stay home, the live stream is available to you. The stream normally starts around 10:45. Click on the link below to visit our Youtube channel:

Continue to pray for our state and its leadership for wisdom in decision-making. But more important than the recent health concerns is our desire to take these moments as opportunities to preach the Gospel to those around us. The Lord brings challenges for a purpose; to sanctify His church (Rom 5:3-5) and to soften the hearts of the unbelieving to a much more pressing danger of being without the Lord Jesus Christ (Heb 4:12, John 8:24). God is good, all the time!

We look forward to gathering with you to worship the King who is on His throne!

Good morning church family,

In light of the state of emergency regarding the Corona virus, people have been asking about our plans for Sunday service.

As believers in Christ, we are “both/and” when it comes to planning. We fully affirm God’s sovereignty in all aspects of life, and we are grateful to Him for having His favorable hand constantly upon us. Our confidence rests solely in Christ, His word, and His promises to us (Ps 47:8, Col 3:1).

Having said that, we are both confident and responsible to plan. King County health officials have deemed it appropriate for each community (school, church, etc) to make their own decisions about gatherings.

In light of this, and after prayer and discussion, we will still be meeting for worship (Sunday School and Main Service) this Sunday.

We will be doing extra sanitation of the building, classrooms and high traffic areas.

Per the county’s recommendation, those in the following categories are encouraged to stay home:

• People 60 and older
• People with underlying health conditions including heart disease, lung disease, or diabetes
• People who have weakened immune systems
• People who are pregnant

We do live stream the service via our YouTube channel if you feel you need to stay home:

We will continue to pray for wisdom and ask the Lord to guide us in our decisions heading into next week.
