Youth Sunday at Lyndale – It was a special morning as we wondered together about what it means to belong to God’s story—not just as tellers of the story, but as doers of it, too. Centered around the hymn I Love to Tell the Story and our Bible Camp theme, You Belong Here in the Story, our youth shared stories and reflections from Bible Camp and the Mission Trip. Their stories remind us that God is still writing the story, and there is a place in it for every one of us to live, tell, and share that story. Thanks to Singleton Street for sharing their beautiful music.

This week we wondered together about Jesus’ question to Peter: “Who do you say that I am?” Through the story of Peter, the “keys” to the kingdom, and a memory of riding with a granddaughter when she first got her driver’s permit, we explored faith as a gift, trust, and what it means to be the church together. Jesus is our foundation, and there is room —and a place—for all of us.

This week we wondered together about the Canaanite woman whose persistent faith challenges the boundaries others have drawn. Alongside Isaiah’s vision of God’s house as “a house of prayer for all peoples,” we considered how inclusion and welcome have always been part of God’s loving intention. We may still be learning how to live it, but God keeps widening the circle—and inviting us to do the same. Special thanks to Christian Nielsen for sharing his music.

After sabbatical, Pastor Sheryl returns to worship and to being together as a community of faith. Through the story of Peter walking on water, we explore what it means to step out in faith, knowing we might get wet—but when we do, Jesus reaches out a hand, not with judgment, but with grace.
