Last week was our first week of Bridge to Freedom School 2023! Our scholars engaged in our reading curriculum and a variety of afternoon activities. This year we are focused on healthcare and healthcare careers, so our scholars read books about different healthcare careers and professionals. In the afternoons our scholars engaged in activities including black history, Calm Kids, science experiments, and more!

This week we had our teen leader and volunteer orientation. Our teen leaders participated in the integrated reading curriculum training, decorated classrooms, and more! We are ready for Bridge to Freedom School and look forward to seeing all our scholars next week!
