Spirit Ministry Here to bring the love of God to the world

You know, sometimes when life seems to get "bad" or youre going through hard times, it may be because God is putting you through a detour. Now, you may ask, "why?" Think about it. When you see detours on the highway, its because something is being built or fixed. We sometimes get off track and need to be fixed before God will get us to our destiny.

If you look in the bible, Joseph was highly favored by his dad. He got a tunic that was made of many colors. This meant something. Joseph being young, he was immature and he flaunted it to his brothers. He then had dreams from God, FOR HIM saying he would rule one day, and due to his immaturity, he went to those who really didn't like him (his brothers) and told them that one day they would bow to him.

God knew he wasn't ready so he allowed his brothers to sell him into slavery. He became powerful there, bit then got thrown into jail due to lies. He came out of there and became second in charge to Pharaoh. This took many years and he eventually saw his family again saved them from the famine and forgave his brothers for what they did. He stated, "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people[a] should be kept alive, as they are today" Genesis 50:20

Take a good look at whatever situation youre in. Things may be happening to shape you into who God has destined for you to be.

‭‭II Corinthians 12:8-9 NKJV‬
[8] Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. [9] And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

I posted before that we all have thorns in our lives. When we do, we should pray, and ask God to show us what he wants us to see. Paul prayed 3 times that his thorn depart from him. In his case, God told him no, that His grace was sufficient.

God will not always say "yes" and clear things from your life. Sometimes it's no, or not yet, but He tells us, He is offering his grace. Some might ask how that helps. We'll, His grace us what gives us our "second wind" though the piercing of our thorns until we get the revelations He's wanting to show us, or to remind us that we cannot get though this life without Him and the blessings He gives us everyday.

God looks for the weak, to strengthen with his grace. I know I am weak, and I can allow my thorns to dictate my life. I choose to go to the Lord daily for His guidance.

‭II Corinthians 12:7 NKJV‬
[7] And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.

Paul was given a thorn in the flesh. Something that bugged him, irritated him, kept him bugged. The bible never said what, which is good. Put your thorn in this place. This could be a relational thorn, an emotional thorn or a physical thorn. It says in this verse though the thorn was given to him. God will give ypu a thorn to either show you a revelation or to keep you from boasting about yourself. It's to show you that He is in charge and that you NEED Him.

We all try to run from our thorns or take away our thorns. Why take away what was given to you by God. Take time and try and see why that thorn is in your life and grow

My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord , Nor detest His correction; For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
Proverbs 3:11‭-‬12 NKJV

God will correct us when we run off track. I'm living proof of this. But what I can say is, I never blamed Him. I was the cause of ALL my issues. I will say this, I didn't understand anything then. Now that I do, I want to teach others the love God has for us ALL so that others can be spared the correction I received.

I love you all and pray that all understand the true freedom we have through Jesus.

Galatians 5:1 NKJV
[1] Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bo***ge.

Paul is telling through the crucifixion of christ we are all free. Free from what? Anxiety, addiction, anger, jealousy. These are all feelings of our flesh. We have been freed from our flesh when we walk side by side with Jesus Christ.

If anyone feels like they are trapped by the chains of the flesh then get in your bible, pray or call or message a friend in Christ. Feel free to message me if anyone feels trapped so much they can't get out. I will pray over any of you. I love you all my brothers and sisters

Some people feel like their lives are falling apart. Sometimes it feels like, God doesn't care or God is nowhere to be found or even God is on vacation.

In Job 23: it says, "look, I go forward but he is not there, and backwards but I cannot perceive him." When this is happening.

Remember 1 verse.... Genesis 39:2: the Lord was with Joseph." In his toughest times God was with Joseph, and in your toughest times He's with you.

God brought me through a very dark place when I thought He felt I wasn't worthy, yet here I am now with a great job, a wonderful wife and 5 awesome kids. He was always there, just molding me to what He KNEW I could be.

And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
Matthew 4:18‭-‬20 NKJV

In the time of Jesus, fishermen made pretty decent money. Jesus went to Simon, who would layer be called Peter, and his brother, and said, "follow me." The awesome thing is, they just dropped their nets to follow Him. I was thinking about this and it dawned on me how hard we make it to simply pause our lives for Jesus...me included.

I then thought, what if they would've tried to keep those nets. Can you imagine how hard it would be to drag those huge nets through the desert. Is there a net in your life Jesus is asking you to drop? Is there something in your life that isn't pleasing to God? Leaving our old lives are hard but in the end, so incredibly rewarding

Do not say, “I will recompense evil”; Wait for the Lord , and He will save you.
Proverbs 20:22 NKJV

"Revenge is a dish best served cold." How many have heard this? THIS IS WRONG!!!!!! We are not in a revenge business. God saved us all through Jesus Christ, and asked only a few simple things: love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul (Matthew 22:37), love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39) and forgive us our trespasses, as WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US. (Matthew 6:12) I've read the Bible fully, once and am dialing down more on certain books for myself, but I've not seen anywhere it says to seek revenge. IF someone wrongs you, pray, pray and ask the lord to wrap His forgiving, loving arms around you. God will deal with the evil ones in his own time. We just need to love, spread love and forgive.

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV

There is a great story told many ways, but the basics are these: A man went to a church and went to the pastor and said, "how can I find God?" The pastor took him to the river, they got in, and then the pastor held the man under water until he began to struggle. When that happened, he brought the man up and asked him, "when you began to struggle, what did you want most?" The man sai, "I wanted air." The pastor said, "when you want God, just as much as you wanted air come see me.

Now no pastor would do this, but it speaks volumes to how we all think daily. We want food, sleep, vacation, free time....all before we want God.this passage says we will ALL find God when we seek him with ALL our hearts. Good food for thought

I pray you all have a fantastic week.

Many times we pray for people, knowing that's the right thing. There are times though when we wait to see WHEN they'll mess up. This may be a normal human emotion but this isnt living in God's will or standards. This isnt new though....look at the book of Jonah

Jonah 4:2-5 NKJV
[2] So he prayed to the Lord, and said, “Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm. [3] Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live!” [4] Then the Lord said, “Is it right for you to be angry?” [5] So Jonah went out of the city and sat on the east side of the city. There he made himself a shelter and sat under it in the shade, till he might see what would become of the city.

Ive prayed prayers that wete answered then wondered why God would do it. Jesus tells us the second great commandment is to love our neighbors as ourselves. This way of thinking might feel normal, but this isnt love. We need to ALL work together to KNOW Gods blessings aren't just for the individual
