In the spirit of the New Evangelization, we honor the rich traditions and unique histories that have brought us together, reaching out to our brothers and sisters with renewed structure, methods, expression, and dialogue. Certain that all we have is from God, we embrace the values of Catholic Stewardship and encourage the ongoing exchanges of God’s gifts and talents to ensure a healthy, strong, multi-faceted, and fiscally thriving community. Devotion to The Sacred Heart of Jesus goes back to the 11th century, but until the 16th century was a private devotion. The first feast was celebrated in 1670 in France. After, the devotion spread, but took the visions of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque to become universal.
