Dear Organizations, Businesses, and Residents of the Crestwood Community,
Our beloved Mantua Potato Festival is in need. As many of you may have heard, the electrical equipment at Buchert Memorial Park in Mantua has been deemed insufficient for use. Therefore, it is necessary for the Mantua Potato Festival to find funding to pay for upgrades – this will be thousands of dollars. The festival will go on for this year by renting generators, but the Mantua Potato Festival Association needs our help.
There are many organizations, businesses and individuals in the Mantua area who have benefitted greatly from this festival. For many of us it is the biggest fundraiser of the year. Our annual Chicken BBQ, which is held in conjunction with the festival, sells out every year. The festival generates foot traffic within the village, which benefits the businesses. Residents look forward to the festivities and the opportunity to spend time with family and friends. And, of course, we all look forward to the parade. We simply cannot let our festival die.
Hilltop Christian Church is issuing a challenge. In addition to our sponsorship, we are making a separate donation to cover part of the rental, delivery and fuel for the generators, but more is needed. We recognize that times may be tough, but if we all give a little bit, we can make this happen. Will you accept the challenge?
Please send your donations to:
Mantua Potato Festival Association
PO Box 416
Mantua, OH 44255
(please specify that it is for the generators/electric)
We hope you will join us in keeping our festival alive for another 50 years.
