From the article: "Who is the one person who saved the murals?
It is everyone who wrote articles, gave interviews, spoke on podcasts, contacted media, alerted organizations, wrote letters, called Church headquarters every single day, everyone who fasted, prayed and took a stand, everyone who risked their jobs to speak up. The Teichert Murals were not saved by countless people. They were saved by one person, hundreds, thousands, millions of times."

I was worried when the dates of the Manti Temple open house were announced.

From the article: “They built very, very well in the 1880s, and our job really was to not lose that heritage, not lose that story, so we didn’t do much, because the building was so good to begin with."

From the article: “The Minerva Teichert mural in this temple, I would say, is 98% original mural,” Utt said. “There’s been a little bit of damage, a little bit of repair but the Minerva Teichert mural in general was in very, very good condition. We had some glue problems that were easy to resolve. We had a couple of cracks in the canvas, but it was really a relatively minor fix. From the article: "The temple’s historic murals were meticulously restored by highly skilled art conservators. Among their efforts, they removed varnish that was damaging Christensen’s mural in the creation room, repaired cracks in Shepherd’s mural in the garden room, cleaned Teichert’s mural in the world room and repaired damaged canvas and plaster in the baptistry."
