"And Jesus is saying that the distinguishing mark of his kingdom is not the quantity of your possessions; it's not the quantity of your relationships; it's not your ability to look and say, 'Look at what all I've got.' It's your ability to say, 'I know the God of heaven and earth as Father, and my God will take care of me.' And we live with freedom, then. Denying ourselves? Easy. We're easily able to deny ourselves, to set aside ourselves, to embrace selflessness, because we know that on the other side of that narrow way is a full life that lasts forever."
