Picture it: walking through heaven's gates, hand in hand with a crowd of people who are there because someone showed them grace — because someone said one thing about Jesus.

That could be you. This week:

Draw near to God — not in shame, but in confidence. Let go of one mistake you've been holding against yourself. Say one thing about Jesus to one person.

Grace already made the way to God, to each other, and to everyone who still needs to hear. Now it's our turn to walk in it.

Generous Here, Silent About Eternity

We are so generous with grace for the temporary stuff. We’ll bring a meal to a friend recovering from surgery. We’ll be patient with a coworker making the same mistake for the fifth time.

But how many times have we sat across from a neighbor, a coworker, a family member — and never once said a word about where they’ll spend eternity?

We forgive the temporary. We stay silent on the eternal.

Grace isn’t finished just because it forgave you. God made you His ambassador — He makes His appeal to the world through us.

“How can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” — Romans 10:14 (NLT)

The Grace You Won't Give Yourself

Two people lose their temper with their kids on the same afternoon.

One spends the rest of the week replaying it — calling themselves a failure, convinced they don't deserve grace. The other admits they were wrong, receives forgiveness, and lets it go.

A few days later, someone else loses their temper right in front of both of them. Guess which one has zero patience for it — and which one has grace ready to hand to the next person who needs it?

Grace you won't give yourself is grace you'll struggle to give anyone else. You can't hand someone a gift you've refused to open.

The Storm That Found John Newton

John Newton was the captain of a slave ship. He cursed God for sport. Then a storm hit, the sea nearly took him, and death felt seconds away.

Grace didn't wait for John Newton to clean himself up or turn his ship around. Grace found him in the middle of the storm — while he was exactly who he was.

That's what he wrote about later: "I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see."

If grace could reach him there, it can reach you wherever you are right now.

Grace Is Not a Wage

Grace is not something you earn. It's not a paycheck for good behavior. It's not a reward for cleaning yourself up first.

Grace is a gift — handed to us before we had anything to offer in return.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God." — Ephesians 2:8 (ESV)

That changes everything about how we come to God. Not with a resume. With empty hands.

Grace Makes The Way

"Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me."
That song has been sung in almost every language on earth for 250 years — at weddings, at funerals, in prison cells, at altars. Why? Because it doesn't tell the story of someone who found God. It tells the truth about grace: it goes and finds you first.
Before you could take a single step toward God, grace had already made the way.
That's the truth this weekend's message was built on. Over the next few days we're walking through it together.
