We believe the Holy Bible to the the inspired and only infallible written word of God. We believe that there is only one God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Our History, Organized January 7, 1954 at the home of Mrs. Sixth St., Mansfield. It was know as the "Bethany Bible Class." Church services were held at the William Jones Funeral for a n

umber of months until property was purchased at 112 W. Sixth St. which is the site of the present day church. Rev. Larson accepted the position as Pastor of the Church August 19, 1956. The growth of Providence has continued to expand over the past 5 decades and continues to grow in spirit and faith. Previous pastor, Rev. Dr. Thomas C. Hunt, was called to lead in November of 2006-2016. Our present Pastor Elder Mark A Cobb began pastoring November 1, 2018 and was installed in December 2018. And through Pastor Cobb’s leadership and spiritual guidance we are continuously growing in the Lord and serving our Lord and Savior. Jesus said, “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35.) Under the leadership of Pastor Cobb we have strongly embraced being a Fellowship of Love and the way we love demonstrates who we are!
