Ar-Rahman (الرَّحْمَٰن) — The Most Merciful, whose mercy encompasses all creation.

Ar-Raheem (الرَّحِيم) — The Especially Merciful, who continually bestows His mercy upon the believers
The key difference: Both names refer to Allah’s mercy. Ar-Rahman emphasizes the vastness of His mercy, while Ar-Raheem emphasizes His continuous and special mercy.

These are two of the beautiful names of Allah, found in بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ — In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
