🎬 This moment from Sunday stopped people in their tracks.

He's using your actions. Your story. Your voids. Even every micron of your pain.

He is making you into someone who will change eternity.

You might not see it yet. You might be in the middle of the hardest season of your life and wondering if God even notices. He does. And He's not just watching β€” He's working.

Last Sunday's Bitter or Better message was about refusing to let your pain become poison. This Sunday, the Family Portraits series continues with The Missing Parent β€” a message for anyone who's ever felt the weight of someone who wasn't there and wondered how to move forward.

Here's what we're asking you to do right now:

Think of ONE person who needs to see this clip. Send it to them. Then say five words:
"Come to church with me."

That's it. No pressure. Just presence. Some invitations change everything.

Here's something nobody tells you about parenting:

Your kids don't need you to be perfect. They need you to be present.

They don't need the biggest house, the best school district, or every extracurricular on the planet. They need you at the table. They need you in the conversation. They need you close enough to notice when something's off β€” and brave enough to ask about it.

The Bible tells the story of a man who had it all. Wealth. Power. Fame. Legacy. A heart that genuinely loved God.

But his kids? They raised themselves. Because Dad was always somewhere else doing something important. And by the time he noticed the damage β€” his son was gone. And the only words left were, "O my son… if only I had died instead of you."

He would look every one of us in the eye and say one thing:

"I missed it. Don't you dare miss it."

This Sunday is Part 4 of Family Portraits: The Missing Parent. And whether you're a brand-new parent, a single parent fighting to hold it together, a grandparent stepping in, or someone who grew up with a parent-shaped hole in your life β€” this message speaks to ALL of it.

Don't come alone. Bring the parent who's burning out. Bring the friend who's questioning everything. Bring the person who grew up without one and never understood why it still hurts.

This Sunday is for all of you.

The Ripple Effect Challenge

"You can praise God or you can play God β€” but you can't do both."

This Sunday that statement is going to land hard.

We're continuing the Family Portraits series with a message called Bitter…or Better? β€” and it's about the choice every single one of us faces when life isn't fair: do we pick up the poison of bitterness… or do we trust God enough to choose something better?

But here's what we've learned: when one person chooses better over bitter, it doesn't just change them β€” it changes the people around them.

A mom who forgave and her kids watched it happen. A husband who stayed and his marriage came back to life. A friend who refused revenge and the relationship was restored. A coworker who showed grace and it opened a door to share their faith.

That's the ripple effect. And we want to hear yours.

When you chose better over bitter β€” who else did it impact? How did your choice to forgive, to let go, to trust God with the outcome… minister to the people around you?

Drop your story below. It doesn't have to be long. It doesn't have to be polished. It just has to be real.

Because someone reading this right now is one testimony away from putting their bitterness down for good. Be that testimony. πŸ‘‡

Then be in the room Sunday. And bring that person who's been carrying something they won't talk about. This message was made for both of you.

If you framed an honest portrait of your family life right now β€” how would it look?
No airbrushing. No editing. No filters.

Some seasons everything clicks. Other seasons you're just trying to figure out how to get to the other side.

Here's what we want you to know: the creator of family hasn't left you to figure it out alone.

That's what our Family Portraits series is all about β€” opening the Bible to discover how family was designed to work and what to do when it's not.

Wherever your family is right now β€” there's a word for you this Sunday.

Come. Bring your people. You don't need a perfect family to walk through the door β€” just an honest one.

Sometimes God doesn't remove you from a hard situation.

He changes you in the middle of it.

Joseph didn't get rescued from the pit. He didn't get a shortcut past the prison cell. He didn't wake up one day and find out it was all a bad dream.

Instead β€” over 13 long years β€” God developed his patience in the pain. Sharpened his skills in the struggle. Built his character in the chaos. And when the door finally opened, Joseph was ready. Not because life got easier. But because he got stronger.

Here's what got him there: He chose better over bitter.

His brothers betrayed him. His boss's wife lied about him. His cellmate forgot about him. But Joseph never picked up the poison of bitterness β€” because he understood something most of us are still learning:

When you try to be God in someone else's story, you lose your place in your own.

You can praise God or you can play God. But you can't do both.

This Sunday we continue the Family Portraits series with Part 3: Bitter…or Better?

Whether it's a family wound, a broken friendship, or something you've been carrying for years β€” this message is an invitation to finally put it down.

And if someone came to mind while you were reading this? That's your sign. Bring them with you.

The Then vs. Now Challenge

Senior Sunday is THIS WEEK and we can't wait. πŸŽ“

But first β€” we need your help making it special.

Calling all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and anyone who has a 2026 graduate:

Post TWO photos side by side in the comments below:

1️⃣ Your favorite childhood picture of your graduate β€” the messy face, the missing teeth, the costume they refused to take off, the pose they thought was so cool

2️⃣ Your favorite senior picture β€” the one that makes you wonder where all those years went

Caption it with one word that describes how it feels watching them grow up.

We want to flood this page with the faces of this year's seniors before we celebrate them together on Sunday.

And if you know someone whose graduate needs to be honored this weekend β€” tag them. Share this. Bring your whole crew. Let's make it a morning they'll never forget.

This Sunday we also continue our Family Portraits series with Part 2: Forecasting Your Future β€” a message about the two paths your life can take and why it's never too late to choose the right one.

Drop your photos below πŸ‘‡ and we'll see you Sunday!

Two Paths. One Life. Your Choice.

Watch your thoughts β€” they become actions. Watch your actions β€” they become habits. Watch your habits β€” they become your character. Watch your character β€” it becomes your destiny.

Let that sink in for a second.

Last Sunday we started the Family Portraits series with Awkward Family Photos β€” a conversation about what it looks like when family life needs a reset. This week we go deeper.

Psalm 1 lays out two paths. One leads to a life that's rooted, stable, and fruitful β€” like a tree planted by streams of water. The other? A slow, five-step drift that most people don't even notice until it's too late.

It starts with who has your ear. Then it shapes what you value. Then it shows up in how you live. And before you know it β€” you've become someone you never planned to be.

But here's the good news: It's not too late.

This Sunday is Senior Sunday at Calvary β€” we're celebrating our incredible Class of 2026 as they step into the biggest chapter of their lives. But whether you're 18 or 48, this message will challenge you to ask one of the most important questions you can ask yourself:

Not what am I doing β€” but what am I becoming?

Bring your graduate. Bring your parents. Bring that friend who's been at a crossroads. Let's celebrate together and be challenged together.

Happy Mother's Day to every mom, stepmom, grandma, foster mom, spiritual mom, and every woman who has poured her life into someone else's.

Today we celebrate and honor YOU.

The early mornings. The late nights. The prayers whispered when no one was listening. The sacrifices nobody saw. The love that never quit β€” even when it was hard, even when it hurt, even when you wondered if it was making a difference.

You are seen. You are valued. You are loved more than you know.

From our Calvary family to yours β€” Happy Mother's Day! πŸ’
We'd love to celebrate with you this morning.

We dare you. πŸ˜‚

Scroll through your camera roll right now and find that ONE family photo β€” you know the one. Somebody blinked. Someone wasn't ready. The kid was mid-meltdown. Uncle Steve did that thing he always does. Dad's face is… unexplainable.

Post it below. No context needed. Let the photo speak for itself. ⬇️

Here's the thing though β€” behind every awkward family photo is a real family trying to figure it out. Some of those moments are hilarious. Some hit different when you think about what was actually going on behind the smiles.

This Sunday we're kicking off a brand-new series called Family Portraits with a message called Awkward Family Photos β€” and it's all about what happens when family life gets real and what God has to say about it.

Grab that brother, that best friend, that cousin you haven't seen in a while and come through. You'll laugh, you'll think, and you might just hear exactly what you needed to hear.

Drop your awkward photo below and tag someone who needs to be there Sunday. πŸ‘‡
