The Apostles’ doctrine on baptism… what does the Bible say? Not only is baptism necessary for salvation… it must be done in the only saving name, Jesus. I find it rather odd that most believers pray in Jesus name, lay hands on the sick and pray in Jesus name, cast out devils in Jesus name, sings songs about Jesus name… but when it comes to baptism they use the titles, Father, Son and Holy Ghost??? Why? Because the Catholic Church changed it? And that’s the way we always done it? Yet NOWHERE in the Scriptures was ANYONE ever baptized in the title formula???? There is power in the name of Jesus Christ! Whosoever CALLS upon the NAME of the LORD (Jesus) shall be saved. Baptism is for the remission (release of bo***ge or imprisonment, release from the penalty) of sins, and it is the only way to get INTO Christ, and it is a type of circumcision (COVENANT) by having the Name invoked over us, and it is also for a clear conscience towards God!
Why would anyone oppose baptism? “They that gladly received his word were baptized…” “when the believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women…”
If you are going to go down in water baptism make sure you do it like every example of baptism in the Scriptures… the name of Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus…
You are most welcome to come and study this vital necessary (according to Jesus and the apostles) salvation plan!
