““Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.”‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭NASB1995
A new year. New challenges. New goals. New problems. New situations. New
temptations. New Issues. But the same God. Don’t go back and relive 2025. Look forward to 2026 with God and his Word.
Read Genesis 1,2,3.

“The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
We are living in very evil times. Why? Because the light of Jesus is not shining bright in Christian life and in our churches. The less the light shines the more darkness grows and the more darkness grows the greater evil will get. We need to shine more the light of Jesus. Enough of shining the light of I, pride, selfishness or anything else that can take away from God and His Word, Jesus and Holy Ghost. Let me encourage you and challenge you this new year to read the Bible more. To be more focus in the things of God. To be more faithful to the church. To pray more. To live by faith and not by your emotions nor feelings. To stand for the truth of God’s word even when it hurts. I challenge you to shine more light for Jesus not for yourself.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
What an awesome, encouraging and uplifting scripture for us to remember everyday until Jesus comes. My life in Christ changes every day for the better. If my life is not changing for the better in Christ then, am I practicing sin willingly and purposely? A new creature in Jesus doesn’t live for himself or herself but lives for Christ alone. How can you say I am a Christian but only live for me? A new me live for God and the scriptures. Read the verse again and truly ask yourself, am I a new creature or am I still the same?

“Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day.””‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭8‬:‭61‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
3 things to consider to do as the year comes to an end and begin a new one. One, let us be more devoted to God by reading his word daily. Let me challenge you to read the whole Bible this 2026 year. Two, walk with God in prayer no matter what you face in situations of good or bad. Third, live in obedience to God. Sin shouldn’t be a habit for you but holiness should be our daily practice. Let us have a heart and mind dedicated to God, Jesus, Holy Ghost and the Scriptures.

“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.”‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
Is God still faithful to you? Do you believe that God will give you strength when you are facing hard times? Do you trust that God will protect you every day?
