33 Churches have a Gems & Jewels Ministry. These ministries are geared to teach the Bible while meeting the spiritual needs of folks with learning challenges, disabilities, educably challenged, and other developmental challenges and their families.

Our goal through the Gems and Jewels Class, is not "separation"'from the church but to provide a fun atmosphere while teaching Bible truths, creative learning instruction, and needed socialization for all of God's people. Incorporating various tools such as, pictures, flannel graph, puppets, musical instruments, and other visuals, we are teaching Bible truths that are easy to understand on every level.

We also want to make church life "accessible" and "inclusive" in every area and to help our challenged members to be involved in the congregation and its ministries as well, using their own unique talents and gifts. Please prayerfully consider this ministry for your church. You will never regret it.

Matthew 25:40- " And the King shall answer and say unto them, verily, I say unto you, and as much as you have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, you've done it unto Me."

1 Corinthians 12:14, 22,23,24.

For the body is not one member but many.
Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: and those members of the body that which we think to be less honorable, upon these, we bestow more abundant honor, and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need, but God had tempered the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked.

OUR NEW PASTOR STARTS THIS SUNDAY AT CBC!
Calvary Baptist Church 820 White Pond Dr. in Akron, Ohio invites you to meet their new Pastor this Sunday at 11:00am. Dr. Jeffrey Smale with his wife Mollie and children Alana, Sophie and Tania, begin their ministry here at CBC this Sunday May the 5th. Pastor Smale has pastored for 30 years as well as having been the Vice President of a Bible College in Texas and the President of a Bible College. His wife Mollie is both a singer, songwriter, and pianist. They together have started the Gems and Jewels ministry to children and adults with special needs in 33 churches across America. Please join us this Sunday in welcoming the Smales to CBC Akron!

Preaching today at the Bible Baptist Church of Grove City, Ohio, pastored by my dear friend Dr. Stan Slaybaugh. At the church I met up with Matthew Doloff who is an IBOC college student and is a member there. Matthew has now completed 17 courses (35 credits earned) as he is working towards his Bachelor’s degree. He told me his story of working on his education while being married with a couple of kids and working a full time job. I am so thankful that IBOC is there to help men like Matthew who are called of God for ministry yet aren’t able to pack up and move away for college.
