Tomorrow, at the church we will be going through Philippians 2. As I have went through Philippians, there has been so many things that have stuck out. The big thing in Philippians 2, is the 3 categories of pride.

1) Self Gain - only serving others for our benefits
2) Self Glory - if it wasn’t for me then this would not happen.
3) Self Gander - what can you do for me.

The example of Christ was the exact opposite.

Tomorrow we will answer the question, What do we do with the example of Christ?

If anyone is in the area looking for a church, we would love to have you join us at
Mansfield Free Will Baptist Church

TODAY'S DEVOTION: I Corinthians 13:4, "Charity suffereth long..." If our world would get a glimpse of what true love is, our world would be a more peaceful place. Also, if others would understand that God's love is one that suffereth long, more folks would give themselves to God.

Let me bring a quick application here. Suffereth long simply means to love through easy times and the hard times. Make sure your love is weathered proof, and ready to go through the storm. Love your family, love your friends, love your enemies, love the lost, and love the saved. Want some practice? Find the one person that gets on your nerves, and learn to be patient and understand why they act the way they do. Love is patient and weather proof.

Last thing, TOO many Christians want God to love them unconditional, but when God asks us to love others we have excuses. Don't make excuses on why you shouldn't love someone.

Proverbs 21:1-2, "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts." With the conspiracy theories and doubters of what's going on right now in our world, let's remember these 3 things about God.

1) He holds in His hands every heart imaginable. He knows every single things about each and every one of us.

2) He puts us in circumstances simply because of growth.
God puts circumstances in our ways, so we can see He is in control, and as we acknowledge this, then faith will grow in the perspective of God is directing me.

3) He knows the right way, but we trust our way
Everybody believes he/she is right in everything that he/she does. We believe that if the certain act feels right, then do it. We often say, follow your heart. Following your heart simply means to follow your emotions. Let me say, emotional decisions equals false commitments. The Lord knows the way of our lives. We just have to listen to Him.

Despite whats going on, know that God is in control of every situation, and knows our intentions. God knows if we truly desire a relationship with Him, God knows if we truly desire repentance, and God knows if we truly have trusted in Him. Take a look at this verse, think about it, and ponder the truth of this verse in the aspect of "Am I following in the way that He wants me to go."

TODAY'S DEVOTION: Psalm 29:4, "The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty." Think about how powerful God's voice truly is. He speaks with a still small voice to make waves in the water of life. He spoke to Paul while his pride was huge in his life. God spoke to Moses through a burning bush. God spoke to Peter through a storm. The power of the Lord's voice is small, but can come through the craziest storms, through the craziest situations, and the craziest sins. We don't know how to listen for God simply because we don't try to. Today, listen for God's Voice.

Ok, Let's get this thing updated. I'm going to start using this a little bit more. Tonight, 7 P.M. we will be live tonight and can't wait to get into our Bible Study. Tonight, I will be diverting from the Nehemiah messages and going to talk about something I think is more needed right now. Psalm 18:1-2. Pastor Mark stole my thunder a tad on Wednesday but we will be breaking down these verses a bit and applying these to our lives. No April Fools Joke tonight.
