Colossians 3:4 (NIV) “4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
===
Without Christ everything you have physically, emotionally, and spiritually are temporary. You live each moment knowing that everything about you might end in the next moment.

When you acknowledge this and invite Christ into your life to be your Savior, He becomes “your life”. Now with Christ living in you, you have Someone in you that is eternal.

Stability is no longer dependent on what could be taken away at any moment. What you have now is something eternal living in you. Things can end but you move on. Life is no longer hopeless, but full of HOPE. The end of any or all earthly things does not change the HOPE that supports you.

With “LIFE”(Christ) in you the world can throw anything at you and you will still grieve, feel disappointment and have to make adjustments but you move on. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace”.

Moment by moment, day by day stop and allow Holy Spirit to remind you that no matter what the next moment might hand you, your hope, security, and stability are not shaken by happenings of the moment.

Thank God for the “LIFE” you have in Christ that cannot be touched by any thing in this earthly existence.

LIFE OUT OF CONTROL PART 2

Ephesians‬ ‭5:8-9 ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
“8For you were once Ohh darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9(for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)
====
Light and darkness cannot exist in the same place at the same time. On a visit to Carlsbad Cavern we were taken to a section where they turned out the lights. We were in 100% darkness. You could not even see your hand in front of your face. This darkness is a good illustration of life without Christ.

The life outside of a right relationship with Christ through the spiritual washing with His blood is total darkness.

The new life that can be had in a right relationship with Christ is “light”. The “light” of Christ shining through you should reflect His way of life as Paul described it in Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Expose your mind, soul and heart to every possible chance to learn what activities, choices, and thoughts are “light” and which ones are “darkness” in God’s eyes.

With God’s help remove “darkness” and let “light” (Christ) glow from you to all whom God brings into your life.

Matthew 5:15-16 NIV
15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
===
Jesus is challenging you to make sure you live and talk in a way that reflects Christ to every person touched by your life. This means you make available something that Holy Spirit can use to convict and communicate with those who have not yet believed.

Your salvation is much more than just a ticket to heaven when you die. It is a tool God wants to use to communicate His life changing love and forgiveness to others.

New acquaintances should either think or ask, “You must be a Christian”.

Make a fresh commitment to let God use you in reaching the world for Christ. How do you do more than be a seat filler at church? You surrender your complete being to God to use you every moment and in every experience of every day not just on Sunday.

Daily make choices that reflect a love for others that is greater than self-love. That is Jesus' kind of love. Others will quickly recognize this because it is so other than the behavior of the world around them.

Matthew 5:11-12 NIV
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
===
In verse 10 the persecution of believers was because of what they did differently than the way the world did things.

In verse 11 Jesus refers to much the same persecutions, but this time it is not because of the actions they did or the motive behind their actions.

It is because of being followers of ME (JESUS). The world hates righteousness and Jesus is our source of what is righteous and also the strength to live righteously through the presence of Holy Spirit living in us.

When we are met with “insult”, “persecution” and being “falsely accused” it is easy to slip into spiritual and emotional depression. We let Satan lead us into backing off on taking a strong stand for Jesus. Satan convinces us that this is not denial but just playing it safe.

Jesus never backed off one word or one action as He met opposition at every step of His earthly life. Let’s follow His example because Jesus has promised us great rewards. Also, don’t back off because the prophets were also treated this same way.

Jesus has already cut the cake and dipped the punch. Celebration is in order. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NIV

ESPAÑOL:

Mateo 5:11-12 NVI
===

He vencido al mundo."
Juan 16:33 NVI

“9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
Matthew 5:9 NIV
===
We must understand that there is only one source of “peace”.
Colossians 1:20 (NIV) “. . .by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”

It is through the blood Jesus shed on the cross that makes it possible for us to share in that “peace” nature of God.

Basic human nature is arrogance and selfishness in which there is no “peace”. To have “peacemaking” among humans and between God and humans there must be the creating of a completely new person.

The Bible calls this “born again”.
John 3:3 (NIV)
3 In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."

This rebirth that a believer is given when he accepts Christ as Savior makes him or her a NEW person.
Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
“20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

For you to be a “peacemaker” the old human nature of arrogance and selfishness must be replaced with the nature of Christ which is PEACE.
Now you have the unselfish love of God to drive your motivation. You are now filled with JESUS and His kind of love. That LOVE can be recognized by “what can I do for you not what can you do for me”.

Mateo 5:9 NVI
===

8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Matthew 5:8 NIV
===
Make note that the term is “pure” not mixed. A strong working relationship with God requires our undivided, unmixed commitment to Him.

Every part of a believer’s life must have God at the center. Putting God at the center is to bring honor and glory to Him. Don’t let your relationship with God be a Sunday experience only but follow Him to work, through your marriage, and even through that bumper to bumper traffic.

The “pure” is to be in your “heart”. This is the part of you on which the life of the rest of your body depends. If your heart stops so does the rest of your body.

If you are a pure hearted God worshiper then everything connected to you is serving God, honoring God, and sharing God with others.

When you are “pure” and unmixed from the inside out God can be so close to you that you will feel like you see Him.

Mateo 5:8 NVI
===

“6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
Matthew 5:6 (NIV)
===
The words “Hunger” and “Thirst” picture a necessity that you cannot live without.

The text for today is referring to a desire that controls your life. When you are filled with God then doing God’s will completely drives your life. You want to live a life that does not disappoint God with tripping up and making mistakes.

This passion for pleasing God goes beyond yourself. Now you want your experience to go to the entire world. You want them to have the same life changing experience with God.

The verse concludes with the promise that if you can let God fill you with this desire, He will make sure you are “filled”.

Satan likes to use this to sidetrack you from allowing God to fill you with His spiritual food and water.

Satan will try to change your hunger and thirst to self-righteousness not God righteousness. Satan uses human pride to get us to thinking, “look what I have done for God”.

Make sure you stay focused on reality. There is nothing within you that will please God. To satisfy the hunger and thirst for righteousness (being like God) will have to come from Him.

Move forward carefully that your life is directed by, controlled by and motivated by only GOD. Make sure your prayers are filled with the same focus as was Jesus’ prayed as He faced the Cross, “42 … "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done." Matthew 26:42 (NIV)

Mateo 5:6 (NVI)
===

". Mateo 26:42 (NVI)
