Happy Labor Day from Vision of Hope! 🙏🏾

Today, we give thanks for the gift of work and honor those whose hands, sacrifice, and perseverance helped build our families, communities, and nation.

As people of faith, we remember that our labor is not in vain. From generation to generation, our people have worked, served, persevered, and made a way where there seemed to be no way.

May we continue that legacy—working with purpose, serving with love, and trusting God with the fruit of our labor.

📖 “Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."

📖 BIBLE STUDY RECAP: WHO IS GOD TO YOU?🙏🏾

What a powerful first session of Bible Study! We began our journey with a simple but deeply personal question:

“Who is God to YOU?”

We discovered that while we may know about God, God desires for us to truly know Him, His character, His heart, and His presence in our everyday lives. We took time to examine how our experiences, relationships, disappointments, and faith have shaped the way we see God.

And now… the homework begins! 📝📖

This week, take 10 minutes each day to ask God to reveal Himself to you. Journal your thoughts about who God is in your life, and read Psalm 139, paying close attention to what it reveals about God's character.

If you missed our first session, it's not too late! Come join us for the rest of this powerful study as we continue discovering God's character, His relationship with us, and how knowing Him transforms the way we live.

✨VISION OF HOPE YOUNG ADULTS TAKE ON RAYAC!✨

Our young adults had an incredible time attending the Connectional RAYAC NXT30: Ascend Conference🙌🏾❤️

And when we asked them what they loved most about the experience, they had plenty to say! 😄

🎤 “It was really geared toward young adults.”
From the sessions to the activities, they appreciated having a conference designed with their generation in mind.

🕵🏾‍♀️ The “Who Done It?” Welcome Reception and, of course, THE FOOD! 😂🍽️
Because fellowship is always better when there’s good food involved!

🎶 Karaoke and R&B bingo was a highlight!
Our young adults enjoyed singing, laughing, cheering one another on, and creating unforgettable memories together. The karaoke experience brought plenty of fun, energy, and fellowship to the conference! 🎤🎶😂

🤝🏾 Serving the Community
One of the highlights was giving back through community service at the Elnita McClain House. Our young adults experienced firsthand that ministry isn't just about what happens inside the church—it’s also about serving others.

🙏🏾 Powerful Worship
The worship services gave them opportunities to recharge spiritually, reflect, and experience God together with young adults from across the connection.

📚 Purposeful Sessions for Young Adults
The conference offered thoughtful and intentional sessions specifically designed for young adults. These sessions provided meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, discuss relevant topics, and gain insight that they can bring back to their church and communities.

And perhaps the best part
Our young adults are already thinking about how they can bring what they learned back to the VOH Family and continue creating meaningful opportunities for young adults to connect, serve, grow, and lead.

We are SO proud of them! ❤️💚

And yes… they’re already looking forward to RAYAC NEXT 2027 in San Diego! 🌴☀️✈️

The future of the church is not just coming—they’re HERE, they’re engaged, and they’re ready to lead! 🙌🏾

SUNDAY WAS FOR OUR YOUTH! 🙌🏽🔥

What an AMAZING Sunday at Vision of Hope! Our ECAME Family joined us for our 2nd Annual Youth Explosion and let me tell you…EVERY YEAR JUST GETS BETTER!🎉🙌🏽

Our young people were blessed with a powerful word from Rev. Jones “Remember Who You Are!” What a timely message as our students head back to school. They were reminded that no matter where they go, they must remember WHO they are and the purpose God has placed inside of them!

And we didn't just give them a word we covered them in prayer!🙏🏽 We prayed over their minds, their friendships, their schools, their teachers, their decisions, their safety, and their future. We believe God is going to do GREAT things through this next generation!

Nava's Soft Serve was a hit serving our young people with some sweet treats! 🍧🍦 You helped make the day even more special!

A huge thank you to our Missionary President, Sis. Natasha Hargrove!
Vision of Hope AME Church is grateful for your leadership and for faithfully manning our VOH table at the Manor ISD Back to School Bash. Your presence, warmth, and commitment helped us connect with families and share the heart of our ministry.

We are also deeply thankful for the Texas Methodist Foundation’s Neighbor 2 Neighbor Grant, which made it possible for us to sponsor and serve as a vendor at this year’s event. Because of this support, we were able to show up for our community in a meaningful way — offering resources, encouragement, and a welcoming space for all who stopped by.

VOH is honored to be part of what God is doing in Manor!
