Final night and it was a good one! We practiced our William Tell shooting.(Good thing it was only a styrofoam head!). Stuart wrapped up our talks about the fruit of the Spirit with self-control and we had lots of pizza and laughter. Thank you to all that participated and to all the adult helpers who faithfully sacrificed their time to make this season a big success! Don’t forget that we will still have open gym also on Wednesdays until the guitar classes begin in May. Hope to see you there!

Legend has it that William Tell shot an apple off of his son’s head. We have a traditional target for our last night of Centershot to have a little fun testing our skills. Lots of laughs and excitement. Don’t forget we will be having pizza and handing out your t-shirts. Hope to see you all there for our final night of Centershot!

Night seven. We enjoyed freshly popped popcorn for our break while Stuart talked to us about gentleness. We surely need more gentle treatment for each other in the days we live in. We enjoy popping balloons but we made them extra small because the archers are really doing well now. Next week is our last week. We will have our pizza party and our crazy targets for those who have seen it. Also the t-shirts will be given out so please try to attend.

Night 6 Tic Tac Toe! We played with arrows! Lots of fun and friendly competition. It’s much harder than it looks. Stuart talked to us about faithfulness. God is so faithful to us! He gives us a fresh blessing of his mercies every morning. When yesterday didn’t go the way we hoped, he gives us new strength to try again. Not only is He faithful to us, but He wants us to be faithful to him. Here are a few pictures from tonight’s session.

Night 5. It’s going so fast. Tonight we divided up into two teams and tried to clear our target of all its balloons before the opposing team could clear theirs. Stuart talked to us about kindness and goodness. In case you missed it, we are talking about the fruit of the Spirit this season. Here are some pictures from tonight’s fun.

Night 4 is in the books! We tried a new game where we got points for being in the circle and points deducted for being out. Quite a challenge but it was a lot of fun. We had a surprise pizza party. Thanks Davis family! Stuart talked to us about patience. That’s one we could all use! The group we have is such a great bunch of young men and women. So much fun to do this with them!

Wow! We had 21 fantastic archers tonight! These young men and women are so much fun to spend time with. Watching them enjoy each other’s company and seeing them improve their shooting is very rewarding. We shot lots of arrows and popped a lot of balloons as we challenged our friends in friendly competition. We took a snack break and Stuart talked to us about peace. That’s something we can all use a lot more of. Here are a few pictures from this evening. Have a great week!

Tonight we tried our hands at popping some tiny balloons. Lots of success! Here are a few pictures from our shooting. It’s so exciting to see a balloon pop for someone who is working hard to develop their shooting skills. We also talked about joy. Joy is something much deeper than a feeling of happiness, it’s the satisfying knowledge that we are safe in God’s hands and that he loves us!

Just a few pictures from tonight’s start of Centershot. We had some experienced archers and some beginners but all had fun. The goal on the first night is just to hit the target somewhere. We are already seeing some good shots. We had 17 archers and there’s plenty of room for more. Join us!

Hello All. With the terrible weather and temperatures, we are going to delay starting Centershot until Wednesday February 4th. Sorry for the inconvenience. Stay warm and safe!

Centershot 2026 will begin on Wednesday, January 28th. 6:30p- 8:00p The participation ages are 4th through 12th grades. A donation of $10 per participant will help cover costs which includes a t-shirt and a snack time each evening. Centershot lasts for 8 weeks. The only time we would cancel is if school in Marion county is closed for weather. Please come and join us and bring a friend! It’s a lot of fun and a great winter activity!
