We are a blessed congregation to have had Pastor David and Samantha with us. Today we had our farewell celebration. We will miss you greatly. We will pray for you during this transition.. We are glad you will be preaching for us one last time this coming Sunday.

A vision formed in the heart of the Committee on Missions during the last government shutdown: God can do something through us to assist more people in our community. We are proud of our relationship with United Ministries of Clarendon County, but believed we were being called to do more. So we invited the local police department into the discussion. Captain Sean Briley sent Corporal Christian Thompson to participate in one of our meetings. There we joined in the hopes that God would use us in partnership to help the hungry and children I trauma in new ways.

Today that partnership has born fruit. The first load of food and the first load of Child Comfort Bags have made their way to the building that MUMC purchased for this purpose. It is located behind the Manning Police Department so that they and the Fire Department can have quick access in order to serve families and individuals in need. God be praised!
