Pastor Linda Johnson Prestholt, along with organist Janice Christensen, met with us at Bethany Lutheran Church to record this worship service. Joining their voices in song and prayer are Pastor Mark and Patty Walker, Laurie Olsen, Dianne Cooper, Reta Ulve, Vicky Flo, Bob Michaelis, Allan Dahl, Julie Dostal, and Clayton and Suzzanne Rye.

Clayton reads the gospel lesson from Matthew 18:15-20, ‘Reproving Another Who Sins.’

Pastor Linda says the gospel lesson for today is challenging as we try to connect it to our lives. Jesus outlines conflict resolution. Pastor says the most important thing to remember is that Jesus calls us to love one another and forgive one another.

Joint Worship today!! Grace, Elk Creek, Bethany, and Bethlehem worship together at Bethlehem at 10:30 am. Ice cream social at Bethlehem follows. Noon to 2 pm. Please come.

Pastor Linda Johnson Prestholt leads our worship video from Elk Creek Lutheran Church. Our organist is Faith Bartels. Singers are Allan Dahl, Bob Michaelis, Pastor Mark and Patty Walker, Butch and Marilyn Niemi, and Clayton Rye.

The gospel lesson is from Matthew 16:21-28, ‘The Cross and Self-Denial.’

Pastor Linda tells us about her trip to Norway where she visited the church where her Grandma Jenny’s grandfather was baptized. She says Jesus invited his disciples to take up his cross and follow him. They had to leave everything behind just like our ancestors from Norway left everything behind to come to America.
