Today, Grace is having outdoor worship in the Hanlontown Park at 10:30 am. Bring a lawn chair. Following worship is the Grace Lutheran Annual Chicken BBQ. Please come! Take outs available.
Our singers traveled to Elk Creek Lutheran Church in rural Kensett to record this worship for you. Leading our service is Pastor Linda Johnson Prestholt and organist Faith Bartels. Singers today include Dave and Linda Fulton, Butch and Marilyn Niemi, Allan Dahl, Bob Michaelis, Lori Pfleiger, Patty Irons, and Clayton and Suzzanne Rye.
Clayton reads the gospel lesson from Matthew 9:35-8:10, ‘The Harvest is Great, the Laborers Few’ and ‘The Twelve Disciples’ and The Mission of the Twelve.’
Pastor Linda tells us that in this gospel lesson Matthew is talking to the Jewish people of the time, telling them about Jesus. We, too, are called to tell others about Jesus. In our church tradition, we don’t go door to door, but tell about Jesus by serving others such as donating to a food shelf or making quilts to be sent overseas.
