Hey praying friends!
Another conditional promise made by the Lord to His people is
found in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 = "'When I shut up the heavens so
that there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land
or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called
by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and
I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.'"

While the Lord is speaking to His covenant people, in a specific
time, regarding the promise land, we can rightly claim the two
promises that the Lord will hear us and forgive us if we humble
ourselves, pray, seek His face and turn from our sinful ways.

In our time with the Lord, may we humble ourselves, pray, seek
His face and turn from our sinful ways. Let us also continue to
pray for our churches and our nation; "Who knows? He may
turn and have pity" and relent from sending calamity. (Joel
2:13-14)

Hey praying friends!
Please consider taking a mini Sabbath to stop, rest in, delight in
and contemplate the Lord. (Scazzero)

This week, let us consider God's attribute of omniscience (He is all knowing).

After spending 3 years with Jesus, the disciples stated: "'Now we can see that you know all things ...'" (John 16:30)

The Scriptures also give specific examples of God's omniscience:
"'for you alone know the hearts of all men'" (1 Kings 8:39)

"The LORD knows the thoughts of man" (Psalm 94:11)

"O LORD, you have searched me and you know me...when I sit and when I rise" (Psalm 139:1-2)

"'your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.'" (Matt 6:8)

"'The Lord knows those who are His'" (2 Tim 2:19)

"'I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance.'" (Rev 2:2)

'"I know your affliction and your poverty-yet you are rich!'" (Rev 2:9)

In our time with the Lord, may we be blessed to understand more and more the magnitude of God's omniscience, and may this understanding lead us to praise and worship Him!!

Hey praying friends!
On this Memorial Day, let us consider Jesus' conditional promise
found in John 8:31-32 = "To the Jews who had believed in Him,
Jesus said, 'If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'"

"Jesus Himself is the truth that sets us free (John 8:36). He is the
source of truth, the perfect standard or what is right. He frees us from the consequences of sin, from self-deception, and from deception from Satan. He shows us clearly the way to eternal life with God. Thus, Jesus does not give us freedom to do what we want, but freedom to follow God. As we seek to serve God, Jesus'
perfect truth frees us to be all that God meant us to be." (NLT footnote)

In our time with the Lord, may it be a time of worship and thanksgiving for our freedom in Christ for those of us who are born again and also for the freedoms we enjoy in this country!! May it also be a time to pray for those who are not free and especially for those who remain in bo***ge to sin, death and Satan!!

Hey praying friends!
Please consider taking a mini Sabbath to stop, rest in, delight in
and contemplate the Lord. (Scazzero)

Let us this week consider God's attribute of being Omnipresent (He is everywhere).

One author points out that in God's Word we see that while He is
everywhere, He is in His people, in Heaven and in our awareness
of Him.

What are some ways we can increase our awareness of His presence? We can intentionally:
1. Invite Him to be with us = "I have set the LORD always before
me." (Ps 16:8)

2. Seek His forgiveness = "...cleanse me from my sin...Do not cast
me from your presence" (Ps 51:2 & 11)

3. Look for His glory on display in creation = "The heavens
declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His
hands." (Ps 19:1)

4. Turn every blessing into an opportunity to thank Him = "O LORD
my God, I will give you thanks forever." (Ps 30:12)

5. Let every need be a reason to run to Him in prayer = "The LORD
hears the needy" (Ps 69:33)

In our time with the Lord, may we be blessed to have an increasing awareness of Him and His Omnipresence in these ways and others, and may this lead us to praise and worship Him!!

Hey praying friends!
In Revelation 2:7, we are given this conditional promise: "'Whoever
has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life,
which is in the paradise of God.'"

The definition of what one needs to overcome and who is an overcomer is found in 1 John 5:4-5: "for everyone born of God
overcomes the world ... Who is it that overcomes the world? Only
the one who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

An NIV footnote explains: "The word 'overcomes' in the original language conveys the idea that the believer has continual victory over the world system [which is] Satan's worldwide system of deception and wickedness. ... Faith in Jesus Christ and dedication of one's life to Him makes one an overcomer."

In our time with the Lord, may we seek His enablement to no longer conform to the pattern of this world, to be transformed
by the renewing of our minds and to persevere in our faith as overcomers!!

Hey praying friends!
Please consider taking a mini Sabbath to stop, rest in, delight in
and contemplate the Lord. (Scazzero)

This week, let us consider God's attribute of being omnipotent
(all powerful).

First, the Lord Himself testifies to His omnipotence when He says
to Abraham: "'I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless.'" (Gen 17:1)

The humans also declare: "O LORD God Almighty, who is like you?
You are mighty, O LORD, and your faithfulness surrounds you."
(Psalm 89:8)

In addition, creation speaks of God's omnipotence: "For since the
creation of the world God's invisible qualities - His eternal power
and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from
what has been made ..." (Romans 1:20)

Finally, the heavenly creatures never stop saying: "'Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.'" (Revelation 4:8)

In our time with the Lord, may we be blessed to understand more and more the magnitude of our omnipotent God, and may this understanding lead us to praise and worship Him!!

Hey praying friends!
The Lord has given us this promise in Psalm 62: "One thing God
has spoken, two things I have heard: that you, O God, are strong,
and that you, O Lord, are loving. Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done." (vs 11-12)

John 3:36 clearly states the fate of all people: "'Whoever believes
in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see
life, for God's wrath remains on him.'"

For those who have eternal life, "his work will be shown for what it
is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire,
and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. If what he has
built survives, he will receive his reward." (1 Cor 3:13-14)

For those who reject the Son and the wrath of God remains on them, they are "storing up wrath against" themselves for the day
of God's wrath, when His righteous judgment will be revealed. (Rom 2:5)

In our time with the Lord, may these truths ignite a passion in us to pray for the lost, to pray for workers for the harvest fields and to pray for boldness to be the answer to the labor shortage!!
