In this week’s Gospel, Jesus did not promise His disciples an easy life, but He does promise they will not be alone. He gives the Holy Spirit, who remains with us and within us. God’s presence is not distant or occasional, but close and constant, guiding us in our everyday moments.

We may not always feel it, but we are not alone. God is already here.
