We're getting ready for Saturday's Family Grill & Karaoke Cookout, and we have an important question...
What's your go-to karaoke song?

Whether it's a classic, a country favorite, or something the whole family sings in the car, tell us in the comments.

We'll be serving lunch, playing games, and giving kids and families a chance to take the stage.

Who knows? Maybe we'll hear your song on Saturday!

Have you ever noticed how the little things in a grocery cart add up?

A box of cereal. A jar of peanut butter. A bag of rice. A package of pasta.

Most of us hardly think twice about tossing those items into our cart. But for a family trying to stretch a tight budget, those same items can mean breakfasts before school, lunches for the week, and one less thing to worry about.

That's why we're inviting our community to be part of our Food Drive benefiting The Salvation Army Food Pantry. Through September 15, we're collecting nonperishable food items at collection sites throughout Manitowoc and Two Rivers to help ensure local families have food on the table when they need it most.

The next time you're shopping, would you consider picking up an extra item or two and dropping them off at one of our collection sites? It may not seem like much, but when an entire community does a little, it becomes something pretty incredible.

For collection locations and suggested donation items, check out the flyer attached to this post. ❤️

Let's be honest. The first few weeks of school can be a lot.

Take a break and join us for a free afternoon of food, fun, and community at our Family Grill & Karaoke Cookout. Come for a hot dog, stay for the karaoke, and let the kids enjoy some games and activities. Whether you're ready to take the mic or just want to relax and spend time with other families, there's a place for you.

We hope to see you Saturday at The Salvation Army of Manitowoc.
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

A full grocery cart doesn't mean the same thing to everyone.

For some families, it means relief.

It means one less thing to worry about.

It means knowing there will be food on the table this week.

Every day, we meet people who are working hard but still facing difficult circumstances. Through our pantry, we're able to offer practical help and remind them they are not alone.

Thank you for helping us bring hope to our community. ❤️

When we started reaching out about this Food Drive, we had no idea just how many businesses and organizations would say yes.

One by one, people made room for a collection box, offered to help spread the word, and stepped up to be part of something that will make a real difference for local families.

It might not seem like a big thing to place a collection box in your lobby, office, store, or restaurant, but those simple acts of generosity make this Food Drive possible. Because of our community partners, people can donate where they work, shop, eat, and do business every day.

We are so grateful for every business, organization, and community partner that has chosen to be involved. Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors and for showing that Manitowoc County is a place where people still look out for one another.

If you'd like to see the many collection sites participating in this year's Food Drive, check out the flyer attached to this post. And if you happen to visit one of them, consider thanking them for helping make a difference in our community. ❤️

Let’s have a little fun today!

If you were filling a grocery bag for a local family, what is the first thing you would put inside? Tell us your answer in the comments, then consider picking up that item for our Food Drive.

The second flyer has information about collection sites and other suggested donations. Every item collected supports The Salvation Army Food Pantry and the neighbors who turn to us for help.

Sometimes it's the simplest things that matter most. A box of cereal. A bag of rice. Peanut butter. Pasta. Oatmeal. Pancake mix. These everyday pantry staples may not seem exciting, but for families who are struggling to keep food on the table, they can make all the difference.

Most people who find themselves needing help never expected to be in that position. A job loss, an illness, rising grocery prices, an unexpected expense, or just a season where life feels heavier than usual can quickly stretch a family's budget beyond what they can manage.

When someone comes to our food pantry, they aren't looking for luxury. They're looking for the basics. They're looking for ingredients they can turn into meals, lunches they can pack for their children, and breakfasts they can put on the table before school. They're looking for a little breathing room and the reassurance that they don't have to face a difficult season alone.

That is why our Food Drive matters. Every box, bag, jar, and package that is donated helps us keep pantry shelves stocked and ready for local families when they need a helping hand.

As you're shopping this week, would you consider picking up an extra pantry staple or two? It may feel like a small thing, but to a family trying to figure out how they're going to make it through the week, it can mean more than you know.

For donation ideas, collection sites, and more information about the Food Drive, please see the flyer attached to this post. ❤️

If you've been thinking about coming to church, consider this your invitation.

Not because you need to have your life together. Not because you have all the answers. Not because you're perfect.

But because everyone needs hope. Everyone needs community. Everyone needs to know they're loved.

Join us this Sunday.
