I am so proud of our Manitou Springs youth! At least a dozen of them showed up today to take part in a service project sponsored by the Baha’is of Manitou Springs.

They worked all day baking, cooking and preparing a giant meal for a group of exceptional youth on the Southside of Colorado Springs. Then a bunch of them went the extra mile and showed up to set up the food and serve the meal to all the kids and volunteers, including CSFD!

Huge thank you to OneBodyEnt and Men of Influence for giving us the privilege of preparing and serving their amazing organization and its youth. These folks are changing our world!

Today our children’s program learned many new ways to build “unity in their community” By taking a field trip to the “Flying Pig Farm”… where you will not find any pigs, but instead a place devoted to building unity in their community through community gardening and opportunities for folks to share resources and talent with each other, and a place for people of all ages to do service projects that serve the greater good. It was a good day!

We had our first neighborhood children’s class this afternoon. It was so much fun! Let me know if you have kids who might be interested in participating. At the moment it’s an all ages class, but if we get enough kids in different age groups, we’ll break it up in to two or three classes. Hopefully we can get a junior youth group started soon!!
