What We Believe
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible to be the supernaturally, Holy Spirit inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God. GOD
We believe in one God that eternally exists and reveals Himself in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God, by His sovereign choice and out of love for men, sent Christ into the world to save sinners. GOD THE SON
We believe that Jesus Ch
rist was fully God and fully man, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed mighty miracles, was crucified and died to pay the penalty for our sins, was raised bodily from the dead on the third day, that 40 days later He ascended to God the Father, and that He is coming again in power and glory. GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person, is God and has a present ministry of indwelling the believer to conform him to the image of Christ. MAN
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature and became alienated from God. We believe that of himself, man is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. SALVATION
We believe that salvation is a gift of God and is received by man through personal faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for sin. THE CHURCH
As God's kingdom lighthouse and the representative hands, feet, and voice of Jesus Christ, the local church is commissioned for worship, fellowship, evangelism, discipleship, and exercising spiritual disciplines and gifts within the community of Christ followers. THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
We believe that a disciple of Christ should walk in holiness and not after the flesh, with the goal of being conformed to the image of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. THE SECOND COMING
We believe that Jesus Christ, according to His promise, will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness.
